| I only have the intro. It will follow several characters, though.
Rune-Midgard is a forgotten land in a forgotten time. Within its vast realm lies many environments, climates and ecosystems, all sharing a mutual, symbiotic relationship between man, beast, and the earth. The land is at peace most of the time, with only petty skirmishes over insignificant things. In the year 673 of the second era, however, a dark prophecy unfolds in the northern lands of the Schwartzwald Republic. A massive tower, like a pillar of evil, lies close to the northern lands’ greatest city of Yuno. Within its confines, a malevolent climate of evil billows out from its bowels and soon takes over the entire continent. Tears in reality appear, and what follows is a veritable flood of monsters, demons, and a swelling miasma that breathes life into the dead. This new threat will wipe out all of the cities in all of Rune-Midgard unless it is stopped. Under the rule of King Tristian III, a new edict has been placed across the land that all able bodied men and women must sign up for the Adventure’s Draft, a program that requires all people ages fourteen and up to enroll in a warrior guild. Unfortunately, since guild rules are to not allow unprepared people within their system, the capital city of Prontera has set up a system wherein all new adventurers must become Novices first. Throughout their novice training, young adventurers’ mantles are tested through systematic exercises in magic usage, monster hunting and outdoor survival. Once these trial are passed, they become worthy of joining the myriad of guilds throughout the land. With this new instantiation, the kingdom of Rune-Midgard stands a fighting chance against whatever resides within the tower in Schwartzwald.
