You're so lucky... When I tried to take the Japanese class in High School, the class left RIGHT as I signed up! T_T

So okay, the class moved to RCC (the local college). I had a few friends who took the class while they attended South (the high school) and I was going to take it when I signed up... But NO... The class left the DAY BEFORE I TOOK THE ENTRANCE EXAMS!!

I seriously think that that class is avoiding me.... :'(

Oops, seems I neglected this thread for a bit. Anyway, Fooly -- this is the exact phrase:

Konnichiwa, Barente to moushimasu. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu. You don't need the douzo. That word sounds too textbook, and you will probably get laughed at if you said that to a Japanese person.

Congratulations to you Kyoku, and let me know if you need help with anything, ok? (or anyone else for that matter)

(hello seniors) Huh?I think you mean こんにちは、せんぱい。That would mean good day, my superiors. It would be written out as 今日は、先輩。

(thanks) It’s 有難う。Or arigatou,or ありがとう。One needs to be careful with the spelling.

(see ya)It's actually さよなら。
But all in all, great progress, although you should be careful when typing, as it automatically kanjifies everything unless you choose the alternative,so even if you get the spelling right, if you don’t know the kanji, it’s sometime a good idea just to write in hiragana and katakana to be safe.

I do not know Kanji. So yeah, I am going to write in just hiragana at the current moment. Is there anyway to write in Hirigana and katana, but not kanji?

Yeah, just don't use space bar and end with the enter key and it will stay as hiragana. To use katakana, the easy way is to type something, press F7, and the underlined part with be katakanified. About that, make sure only what you want is underlined. By using the enter key often。And press enter before doing a comma。Generally、 it’s safe to just press enter after every word.
