| Yup, I'm taking my certifications to be come a joe shmoe IT guy.
I've already got my A+ certification books, I'm going to borrow some Network+ books and then just take the Linux+ since I know all that crap. The only reason I need books for A+ and Network+ is because they focus so much on OLD and WINDOWS/DOS specifics. Really frustrating when you've spent the last 5 years focusing on all the emerging standards you forgot the differences between a 16bit and 8bit ISA slot. I really.. REALLY wish I had started on this last year. I didn't realize my insurance would cut out if I was no longer a student and I won't have all these out of the way by the time I turn 18.. which means I won't have a job with insurance coverage by then.. oops? That's an entirely new adventure in itself.. but yeah. Yay me. I may still go to college to be like.. uber employable. But it probably won't be needed if I get all the certs out of the way. |

| Wether or not I still go to college is up for grabs. If I can get a good job based on the certifications I'll be getting. Then I'll do that. If by some chance the places I look into further require college experience or college degrees I'll be willing to do that as well. Just whatever it takes. | |||

That's basically what im planning on doing. I want to get my A+ probobly this summer and then go from there. The only problem is that there arnt any tech jobs really available in my area. So I guess I will be moving soon to then  |
