Well, what party are you? I'm slightly liberal, but with some conservative ideas.

I dunno where I sit on the political spectrum, and to be perfectly honest, I don't give a damn.

I'd have to say that I am conservative. However, at the same time, there are several conservative people that I have disagreed with.

So, you might say that I am a conservative, with a bit of libitarean influence. For instance, my opinions on taxes. The republicans are mostly pushing toward just increasing the taxes o us who were able to make momeny, and lightening on the poor. But then, I'll save that for a later debate.

So anyway, I'm slightly influenced by all, and were the liberals to have better tactics when it came to politics, I might agree with them too.

I've taken multiple online political alignment tests, and they always differ. Not entirely, since they always turn out to be Moderate "something".

I guess I'm somewhat of a Centrist.

I get a lot of laughs out of Bush, and I don't personally like him at all, but I do agree with a lot of his and the Republicans views. But I also think that Conservatives put way to much morals into their thinking, so I'll swing to the Left side in some cases.

So, for the poll, I really can't say.

With the way the two groups are dividing America right now, I don't give two shits about which side I'm on. I'm neither, and if anyone asks me "what I am" exactly, I tell them I don't follow politics. They're both equal to me - confusing, hypocritical, and not worth my time. I'm 15 - if I am worrying about this now, I'm either truely concerned about my country (precisely below 1% of all teenagers, guarenteed - I only have ONE friend who seems to hold honest interest in politics), or a little cookie cutter dipshit that mommy and daddy want me to be, arguing with my friends over shit I say I understand but don't. So long as they don't nuke the world, I won't riot anymore than this short rant right here... cause I just don't care.

And DON'T try to convert me to you're side, cause you'll only be making more enemies.

Wow, I am very rare. being fourteen, I guess I'm inique according to J. Literal, because I actually care, and see faults on all sides of the political compass.

I'm inique.

Don't you mean, unique?

Whatever. I have lost a deal of my interest in politics, I was pretty right down into it for a while. Kind of like a phase. I guess I swing more left, but it doesn't really make much difference to me. Politicians like me, we are silly either way. And can make for a good laugh anytime. If I ended up being a big major political power, I'll make my own group, and my own part of the Spectrum. I will not be left or right, I will be down. Down with saving that frown. Dig it.

I don't know what to say though. Is it bad that I'm 18 and still hold very little interest in politics?

I think my interest has sparked up since the last couple of months since I'm taking American Government, but in the end I just can't ignore the government's faults, hypocritical actions, and the way people are easily controlled, and so on.

I just find myself saying "It's pathetic" quite often.

Ever since I've been in the class, I've just seemed to see more hypocritical things in our world.

Yeah, you do say that quite a bit. Or more accurately, "I have lost a great faith in humanity."

I'm a true moderate, though I'm borderline Libertarian.

Most of my ideas are liberal, but I have many conservative leanings, and after many quizzes and tests and history class discussions, I've just decided to label myself the above.

I guess while I lean liberal, I've been proposing for years now that the destruction of political parties would bring about fairer consideration of a candidate due to their views rather than their parties'. Also, Vulkar, everyone's unique. J. Literal does not know 99% of all teenagers, rather some and then the sterotypical teenager. I know quite a few teens that are intrested in teens. Blerde bler.

Along the lines of what Cairoi said, it might be a good idea to destroy the party system. George Washington himself said that it would be a good idea to not follow it. That would also make it so that everyone, not just two people have a good chance of getting elected.

I'm an Independant.
My personal view of what an Indepandant is: Someone who is of one side of the specrum, and has views of the other. (Basically, over half of you are independant. IMO)

From the countless Schoolwide quizzes and test that we have been put through to try to brainwash our feeble little minds into thinking there were only two sides, I apperently screwed up the scale when it came to choosing a side.

By technical terms, I reside on the Republican side, from which I feel more comfterble with (They make more sense to me.)

But on the other hand, I like the Idealistis of Democrats, for they want good things to happen. I Personally like what they wanna adchive, thought I see it as flawed, and nothing more then wishful thinking. (Don't flame me on that.)

Thus I have chosen no sides, and I am indapendent.

although I sit on the conservative side on many issues.... I don't really consider myself fully either side....

there are some liberal ideas that I agree with would work if the world were a different place

most of my political viewpoints come from a religious viewpoint rather than and political party

I, too feel that the destruction of parties would make it fairer for everyone. It's a label. Who you would vote for is putting a label on yourself, I think. Merh.

it totally is.... the moment you say you would vote one way somehow must mean that you agree with and support every policy and decision made by that party regardless of whether you do or not.

You could vote republican because the candidate in your area is better than the Democrat candidate.... that doesn't mean you support Bush....

yeah, it's totally a label

being a republic or demo has nothing to do with being a conservative or liberal =/ i think a few of us are straying away from these words, ie Kaijin Surohm too.

just because you're a conservative doesnt mean you have to be a republician. republicians generally believe that the goverment should be smaller and let the states deal with their own affair, whereas demos are the opposite. conservatives and liberals deals with morality and things like that... take the prison system, conserves want to lock'em away and throw away the key, whereas libs believe in rehabilitation. blah blah blah... so yeah =/

even the original post in the poll is wrong by adding in green and independant, because those are political parties, not views.
