Yeah, as the title suggests, what glitches in certain games have you found?
I found one in Polarium (Nintendo DS) today in school. In challenge mode, if you set a path for changing the colours of some blocks just as you pass to the next 100 lines (Or a stage in the game), it leaves a glitchy mark across the screen. Very easily cured by changing over those blocks. If you understood that then you win... 2 cents! |

You might just have the makings of being a good videogame tester. If you're old enough (18+), you might consider applying at one of the videogame companies. It's a fun experience. I've found several hundred glitches in my games and others since I've become a professional tester. It's so much fun.
In GTA 3, I was mashing the buttons (because it's habit now) during the cinematic that plays while you're riding the L train around Liberty city. I decided to press all the buttons on the PS2 controller. The train passed by in the third cinematic, but froze at that point. No way of getting past it, so all my game progress was lost at that point since I had to restart the PS2. Couldn't reproduce it though. Nice bug anyway. |

That was probably just a piece of dust on the lense or disc, the reason you can't reproduce it. Plus, I'm only 14

Nope, I checked. It happened again during the subway cinematic later on in the game.
Also, in Burnout 3: Takedown, if the second controller is used from the beginning to press Start, it cancels out the first controller. The second controller can then be used to control both the first and second player since the first controller port no longer responds. At first, I thought it was my wireless controller, but it just turns out that EA didn't check every possible option. C'est la vie, je pense. And, that one is 100% reproduceable. Well, we do have a sixteen-year-old working for Activision, so I guess it's possible if it's needed. And, it's just four years. By then, you could be working on the next-gen systems. |

I've found almost every glitch on that site myself, before i even knew about it. In other games I've found countless other glitches and shit, particularly GBA games. I've been thinking lately of trying to find glitches in stuff other than games. Any suggestions would be nice. (Last edited by TiTan182 on 09-12-05 07:34 PM) |

Just don't play the game. If the game wants you to do something, do the opposite. Run around randomly. Try to force characters through walls. Mash buttons. Try to push down all buttons at once. Eject the disk in mid-game. Do things you shouldn't be able to do during mission/the game. If you're in a racing game, try going really slow. Try driving in reverse. Just try to break the game. Easy as that. It's what I do everyday.

Check out this one I found for Super Mario World (SNES)
How I done it: Go the first fortress (You have to be able to be knocked into lava for it to work), and get to the koopa kid boss. Bash him off the island, and wait until just before you hear the "wheeeeeew" sound that signals the end of the level, and jump off. It should do the "wheeeeeew" sound in midair, and then, Mario will fall in the lava and die. When you get back on the map screen, there won't be any music. |

That's a very good bug. I'm surprised Nintendo didn't catch it then. But, I could see why they wouldn't catch it. Too bad, though, but I guess it wasn't a showstopper.

Dragonball GT: Final Bout.
While using pan if you use her down + punch move (looks like she throws an energy boomerang) and buffer in the command for one of combos immediately, the energy boomerang will stay in front of her. This causes a huge amount of damage when your opponent is near you and it stays in front of her for quite some time. |

Basic one. In Conker Live and Reloaded, on the level Castle Tedistein, when your in the cable car, and it is rocking lots, or sometimes when not at all, and your near the wall/edge of the cablecar, you just fall out. Your still standing still, but you "glitch" out of the car, moving sideways and out. Can kinda piss your off sometimes. Mostly happens when people bump you or something.
On Day of Defeat, on the level charlie, in the Nazi territory, when you are hooking the right side, and crouch right by the hill that brings you down to the place where there is a winding path of barbwire (hard to explain this here), near a sand bag/MG deploy, you get stuck in the ground. On the same level, it happens again. By the stone barrier-ish things, also on the right side (back more away from the hill one), and crouch while your amidst all of them, you will also get stuck in the ground. Me and my cousin, who I go over to play DoD with jokingly call it the quicksand. I'm going to test this on other computers to see if this is actually all over other comps. Oh wow...I never thought that bugs like that would make it to retail. You can't believe how much I giggled. Not laughed, I've seen worse. I'm hoping we don't get major bugs hitting retail with the projects I worked on, but if they do, I'll be the first to find them.
I know a few people with bugs so major in retail versions that it shuts down and completely freezes the consoles/handhelds. Teh awesomeness. Yes, "teh". |

I hate to say it, but most of these bugs I see, they look like it is caused more by peope going over with a bit of work they do.
For instance, with Conker, rather than make two models(one with him sitting in the car, and the other as the car itsself), why not make one model, and make evrything simple? Anyway, glitches... Look at the Robocop game for xbox, and there you will find one big glitch. People go through walls(and at many times even you do), and everything is glitchy. |

I have a very simple glitch. In Gundam: Journy to Jaburo:
Position yourself sideways against any incline slope. Then very quickly, burst your jet boost to the side, so you boost up the small slope side was. But only a quick boost, and don't hold onto it. If you did the boost right, you'll acctually throw yourself acrossed the arena for no energy at all. A quick little way to get long distance quickly, lol. Also, my friend showed me this glitch, in Halo 2 multiplayer: Flip one scorpian Tank upside down, then have another Scorpian Tank drive onto the treds of the flipped tank. This will cause a chain reaction, and toss the tank a mile high, and have it bounce off of every invisible wall at high speeds. |

I can't really think of any at the moment ...
One that comes to mind (whenever I hear the word "glitches") is the infinite jumping trick in the first Mine Cart level from Donkey Kong Country. Somehow, my friend and I found out about that trick by ourselves. Other than that, glitches are really easy to find in most FPS games. (Let's not even begin to talk about Halo or Halo 2) |

Well, getting stuck in the ground on th hill doesn't always happen. Actually it has stopped. It could be an ever once in a while type thing depending on...whatever.
The one amongst the stone things still applies though. It has happened on another comp. |
