The near future.
Some young people deal with their disillusionment by seeking out illusions of their own – in an illegal virtual-reality war game. Its simulated thrills and deaths are compulsive and addictive. Some players, working in teams called ‘parties’, even earn their living from the game.

The game has its dangers.
Sometimes it can leave a player brain-dead, needing constant medical care. Such victims are called ‘Unreturned’. The game is named after the legendary island where the souls of departed heroes come to rest:
Avalon.

Notes: Do not make any custom class without any PM to me OR it is something I don’t agree with. Also, you can be promoted once you get enough levels.

Classes:

Warrior – Can able to take any firearm and use it without any problem. The higher the firearm, the more dangerous you wield. The higher the level you are, the better you can use the firearms and the easier to wield a higher level weapon. Can take some damages.

Thief – Swift and agile. Makes a great scout, stealing anything that they could get their hand on. Doesn’t take much damage as warrior but have good evasion rate. Does not wield heavy firearms and evade a lot.

Mage – Weak in combat but deals explosion and tactic rating. This class allow you to use explosion (landmine, C-4, etc) more efficiently. Can not wield heavy or medium firearm but can make explosion.

Cleric – Balanced class. Can heal wound for most user, can’t wield heavy firearm, and capable of making good defense. A well-balance class.

After playing for several times in Avalon, Kais went to the front desk and ask for cashes. A mid-aged woman asks if she wants all of Kais’ point to be converted into cashes. Kais nodded in the attempt, because of what he does for living. He never need most people to help him because he always loved the challenges alone in Avalon. He smiled and turned around to see a digital 3-D spherical shape revealing an action of someone jumping into a tank. The images show that someone rotated the cannon around to aim a usual heavy armed chopper. He locked on the heavy armed chopper, knowing that it would be impossible to take it down with gun alone. He pulled the trigger.

KA-BOOM!

The heavy armed chopper took a direct assault from the tank’s heavy cannon. Soon, it was flying out of control and later exploded before it hits the ground. Lucky, the man barely escaped from dieing because the heavy armed chopper was no walk in the park. Many rumors that it was impossible to take it down with a person alone and this man somehow showed more then what he could do. He shot one round of his sniper rifle into the cockpit. The bullet didn’t go through the glass and bounce off. Knowing that it was a bulletproof glass, the only way to take it down was to rapidly shoot the propellers off or a massive explosion.

After a huge explosion, two words appeared after the explosions clears up: Mission Completed. Although it was a game that person play, he smiled of the way he took advantages of. After all, he was incredible skilled in this war game. Kais smiles as the person places his custom sniper gun on the right shoulder. He admired of his power and showed many players watching that he could do more then he want. Of course, it was Kais’ game the 3-D spherical shape was showing after all.

Soon a woman came up and handed Kais 32,000 dollars and his account player card. She looked at Kais and then at the screen, noticing that they are very same. She looked at Kais one more time, admiring that as least someone came to her and is popular. Although he was just a beginner, he became well-known for his swift and aggressive action. Many called him as a warriors, other called him assassin or snipers. But his true class remained unknown. Perhaps his motivation was unclear as well. He took his money and his account player card.

Kais took a step forward, overhearing some of the player’s conversation. He heard many goods thing but none of them were satisfying for him. He headed out the door, leaving the front desk office room. He looked outside, noticing that it was very dark out. A boom box was playing a ballad song, or what it sounded like one. Kais never noticed of it said but it always said to be a hidden meaning behind it. He took a break, listening to it while he sit on a bench.

“Alavon
Faraway isle of legend
Of apple groves
And mist…

Avalon
When will that day come?

Avalon
Isle of fairy
Where heroes go…

Avalon
A hero takes ship
And sets sail...

Avalon
To the Nine Sisters
And Avalon
There together
On that holy isle…

O Arthur
Your ship sets sail
Over the misty water to
Avalon…”

Kais never understood what the song mean. Of course, it was probably a melody for those people who were ‘Unreturned’ because they could not think for themselves and eventually became brain-dead. He needs to know how to avoid this so that he would not have to suffer the same fate as the rest of the Unreturned did. He looked up at the stone building, with that gothic metal door, and what it looked like an abandoned factory. Nonetheless, Kais ignored it and took the stairs, going up. Soon, he was in reality, not in the virtual war-game he was in before.

He took a ride home, resting for a day. Tomorrow, he would go back and earn his living again…

A young girl sat at the Avalon Station. She had black hair. Perfectly straight. It reached to the top of her back, and was layered rather nicely. Strange passer-bys thought. A beautiful girl, playing a game. An Illegal one at that, was not very commonplace. The room was filled with lowlifes. And the girl, if she had not had the head gear on, would most likely be very uncomfortable around everyone who was undressing her mentally. The stations were enclosed in glass, and their feet were planted on a sensory floorboard. To outsiders and newbies, the game would seem very difficult, and infact, it was. Especially in these particular stations. Movement was all set to commands connected to the electrical systems of one's brain, though one is strapped in at the feet, the upper body was free to move and lean. Another difficulty of this game is the balance issue. Training for balance is necessary. The gun is a standard issue replica. Which you held in your arms as a real gun. True accuracy and reflexes were tested in this game. And the girl was one of the champs. She was shot a few times, but not enough to seriously harm her. She could remember those moments as being very grisly and painful. The pain receptors would go haywire if a shot landed.

The girl was in combat. She looked just the sma ein the game world, but she could nto see herself. Her average sized breasts were contained in brown camoflage. And her attractive body was covered completely by the military fatigues. She wore no helmet, but instead let her hair go free. She realized the helmets provided as little protection as an empty wooden crate would. Besides she was dangerous, and had nothing to live for anymore. Her pale face and black hair offset each other somewhat. But that was not a concern now. The dusty streets were covered in gunfire, and she dove behind a building for cover. She slipped into the building, and saw one of the causes on the second floor by the window. A few well aimed shots from her standard issue assault rifle, and the target was down. He was a sniper. And by the looks of it, he had editted his self-image to make himself look more attractive. She reached around his body, checking for any useful guns. Nice...She thought, A sniper rifle, standard barrel size, enhanced scope. Oooh, German crosshairs. A good one. She took the rifle and placed it on he back, her rifle was fine for now. She found a grenade a swell. This would help with the small group coming down the narrow street. She pulle the pin, and released the handle. One...Two...Three..She threw the grenade...Five...Si-Boom! Three were sent flying. Avergage grenade timing, held for a few seconds to make it harder to react to. She fired her rifle at the three that went down, to make sure they stayed down. She would not risk more injury. And like that, her team was the victor. She pulled the headset off, and placed it beside her.

She was flustered, killing mercilessly was her style, but she had not expected such an easy victory. A message came up on the main screen. She tapped the screen with her left hand. The message read,

"Congratulations Player # 331098, Codename Talea.

You have fulfilled bounties placed by other players. Your account has been credited with 50,000 dollars, by successfully killing (3) total bounties.

Again, congratulations!"

Another message filled the screen after a second.

"Congratulations Player # 331098, Codename Talea.

You have done an extraordinary task, and by killing (4) Player(s) you have recieved 10,000 dollars. It has been sent to your account.

Again, Congratulations!"

She was tired of the old messages. They needed new pizazz. She sat and selected to veiw the 3d playbacks of her battle, and other battles that seemed poular.

Talea shook her head. She was not ready to leave yet. She wanted some more games. She tapped on the screen, and chose to operate solely by her brain, she didn't want to rely on her hands at this stage in the game. A chair seemed to fold out of the floor. And she sat down, her legs still strapped in. She tapped a few more buttons on the screen, and She opened up the option for the next game. She equipped the headgear, and placed her arms on the armrests. Straps came from nowhere, and held her down. The mental connectors were stabbing into her head. She would have a headache later, but it was a sacrifice she was going to make to have full mental control of her character in this battle.

A warping screen was shot into her mind, and it seemed as if she was falling down a silvery tube. Then her feet hit the ground. Immediately she dropped as low as she could. Her now white camo, blended perfectly with the changes and shadows in the snow. She wore goggles, but still no helmet. She needed to keep the snow and her hair out of her eyes. So, instead of a helmet, she had a white beanie on, tight against her head, and disguising as much as possible the black of her hair. Her gun was the rifle from the man before. She crawled to the top of a hill. People were running to her current position, Shit! They were not allies. The bands they had on their left arms signified they were blue team. And she was red. She fired at the lead man, and took him down with a headshot. The others scattered. They could not tell where the shot came from, so they were being extra cautious. She realized these people were in it for the fun, not because they had given up on life...Pity, felt for but a second, but that second was gone at the resounding of a sniper rifle shot. The second was down. Hopefully she could go into a more protected spot. She crawled off, as the remaining three saw which direction she was in. A snow Bunker...Perfect. She ran while ducking, and reached the bunker in no time. She stood against the wall, and fired once more in their direction. Another one down. She hid and went inside. The second floor had a great view, but it was dark inside. So she threw her beanie off before stepping to the window. She could not see the last two...Were they on their way up? There! But no...that's a teammate. And then she saw what he was running to. A Tank as pulling up. And the turret was getting ever closer to her hideout. She ran for the stairs, but too late. The round went off, and blew the front half of the building off. Talea fell down the stairs and was hit with rubble. Pain flooded her brain. Dammit...Her vision went black...She could faintly hear the remaining sounds of explosions...Faint and low...

But what was this? She was merely unconscious from rubble hitting her head. though she laid unconscious, and looking rather dead. She was on the victorious team. What luck...The blue screen invited her to consciousness. New mail...Again. She decided to open it later. Removed the headset, and rubbed her head. The 3d replays had drawn her attention to a man named "Kais." So she decided to send him mail.

"Dear Kais,

I saw how you handled that helicopter in your game earlier. Amazing. You have to teach me how to do that as expertly as you have. Check me up later, name's Talea. Hope you return the message.

<3 Talea"

She finished the message the same way she finished her others. Standing up, the blood rushed to her head. And her vision faded again. She shook it off, and walked from the room, taking her card from the slot as she left. She walked to the man at the front counter, and paid him 3,000 dollars for the time she spent in the game. and made her way home. She would be back tomorrow, but now was time to sleep and to try and get over the massive headache...

After a long rest, Kais looked up at the ceiling. He wasn’t sure that he was feeling good or was feeling sick. Perhaps the scenery never did help him feel good once in a while but being a soldier, he must fight back. Looking at a wood ceiling, some of the paint walls were still there, or enough to make it look like he was in an Italian room. However, most of the picture or drawing he has covered most face of the interior wall, giving the room some decent taste to his liking. Feeling better then he was before, he got up and look down on the floor.

Along with the stone tiles, he saw someone else who living in his apartment-home. A golden-retriever rests next to his feet. Kais looked at his dog, realizing that Achaeus was getting old. Kais shrugs at the thought of being old. One thing he doesn’t like was not being old that he would not make any more living nor has his moment of peace. He needs something to keep him motive; otherwise, he would feel badly enough for his Achaeus of being bored and being lonely. Kais knew that the only way to keep Achaeus alive is by playing this game. Of course, even if Achaeus did die, Kais would be somewhat lonely and be slightly depressed. After all of these months, or what it seems to be years, Achaeus was obedient dog whom just lived under Kais’ roof. Kais was lucky to have such a wonderful and loyal dog.

Kais smiled even for a moment, he then examines through out his room, checking out some other thing. It was still mid-morning for him. He looks straight ahead, seeing a somewhat futuristic desk. There is enough leg space for someone put their legs to, and to each side have 3 separate drawers. On the left side, there is a flat-screen black-wallpaper computer where the few words appear on the center of his screen.

Welcome to Avalon.
You got 2 new message(s) .

Kais didn’t immediately rush over there yet. He probably think that another team want him to join them, because being solo is harder for creator of this game to keep a track of. The reasons why the creator of this game want to people to be in a group is because, they can wander off in a firewall and mess up the system. Lucky, for Kais, he was experienced player and knew what he was doing.

He didn’t feel good after a moment, and feel like he could collapse at any time. His stomach was making noise, knowing that he has to eat. He felt that he hasn’t eaten anything in days. He looks at the dog’s dish, seeing if there was anything leftover for the dog. Of course, it was half-way to the top so that mean there are leftover from yesterday. Kais stood up from his futon and walks over to his kitchen. The kitchen pretty much merged with everything else in his apartment, except for the bathroom he used in privacy. While the kitchen seems to be similar to an Italian style kitchen, it was not far from complete. There were some foods net from the ceiling, with some fresh foods in it. Underneath it, it is a stove along with some counter tables.

Kais went over to cook something for himself. He looks inside of the black refrigerator, looking for some eggs. He founded some leftover Chinese food he had two days ago and also founded some other several of food inside. But he could not find any eggs, hanging his head in shame. He took all of the Chinese food leftover and went over to the microwave. He open the door, feeling a slight heat blowing on to his face, and place the Chinese leftover into the microwave. He pressed some button on the microwave and walked over to his computer. A ping sound was heard, and the screen said:

Welcome to Avalon.
You got 3 new message(s) .

Kais didn’t know why people are sending him messages if he made it clear that he does not want to join any team. He opened the main menu and look over some of the messages title he got:

Reply from: Kalas Message Title: Hey, I just finally made you a custom weapon.

“A custom weapon? I thought it was illegal to do that. Meh, probably another mission or something. If I get this Kalas guy, perhaps I could take his weapon.” he thought. Customized weapon, no matter what it is, it bound to have some of its uses. Kais opened another menu, as he click on the title. It reads:

“What? He knows me? Who is this Kalas!? How the hell did he get my username?” Kais was in confusion. He does not know what this mean but still, a customized weapon by a stranger? This is probably a first time something else has happened or probably it was fixed to do that. Kais exited the screen and look at another message.

Reply from: Talea Message Title: Good job on that mission!

Reply from: Butix Message Title: You just won a free Butix injection!

Out of his thought, he could not understand how an advertising message can get in his user’s mail account. He first read Talea’s message, and considered it as a compliment. However, taking into most account, Kais decided to sent a message to Talea once he get back to the Avalon’s place. But when he got to his advertising message, he almost hit his computer hard again but he restricts himself from doing that. Just soon, a slightly glitch effect came into his screen. Soon, it didn’t become a Butix injection but something else! It read this time:

Reply from: Anonymous Message Title: Soon, the end of the day is near…

Already spooked out, he didn’t click on the title. He immediately logged out and decided to go back playing Avalon again. Before he step outside, he got a woozy head making him feel like he could collapse at anytime. Suddenly, a beep sound was heard, and he looked over to his microwaves. A small message appear on a displayed, on the upper right hand corner.

Food is ready. Enjoy your food.

Kais quickly rushes over to his microwave, opening the door, taking his food out, and slammed the door. He look down on his leftover food, seeing that it seem cooked through. He got out a chair, and sat at his desk. He ate there, wondering what that glitch could mean. He looked over at his PC, noticing that the last message was gone. All it read was:

Reply from: Anonymous Message Title: Meet me at Ruin 8C… This is a message from Kalas, Meet me at Ruin 8C.

Confused for the first time, his starvation probably reach to his brain causing him to see what he thought may happen. After swiftly eating his leftover, Kais regained his strength and look at the PC one last time. It read:

Reply from: Game Master Message Title: New location acquirement on your account. You can now go to Ruin 8C.

Reply from: Talea Message Title: Good job on that mission!

Kais shook his head. Was he using his imagination on all of those mails or was it is just a common known glitch? He could not answer that himself, so he pushed himself away from the desk, took a jacket from the hanger and went outside, wearing a plain t-shirt, a pajama-like pant, and a jacket. All he could think of now is Avalon. He began to walk around before going to Avalon’s place, trying to clear his mind.

OOC: I didnt know it was a illegal game but eh, they dont explain alot of that in the movie O_o

IC:
Name: Scian
Class: Warrior
Rank: C
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Eyes: Light Silver, the screen messed with his eyes the first time he played, making them silvery
Hair: Dark Brown, almost looks black.
Background: Uknown *One thing, in the movie, the chara's pasts arent explained until later on. Im assuming we are following this and are going to reveal a little at a time???)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Scian had just woke up from a long rest on his bed. He had spent the whole of the last day playing Avalon, moving up the mission in the C class. He rolled out of bed, flopping to the floor, pulling all the sheets along with him. He got to his feet, his arms felt heavy and his whole body was still trying to get awake.
His kitten lept onto his bed, meowing as it looked at Scian like he was doing something she could possibly play with. With a yawn, Scian went to the fridge and got out some milk and some sardines, and made a breakfast for his kitten, Maya. The kitten immediatley lept down and began to eat (as well as lick up) its food.
Scian turned back to the fridge, and pulled out some bagels. He put them in his toaster, and gave them a quick cooking. The toaster Scian had was, well, a little old and didnt work right. The bagels poped out all burnt, as Scian glared at them. A few seconds later, people on the street below screamed in terror as the toaster (and the bagles) went flying out of the window and smashed on the street below.
Scian showered, and got dressed. He pulled on his coat, a long black trench coat, and exited his apartment. As he walked past the main desk, he layed down 5,000 dollars on the desk (which would pay for his rent for the next couple of months.).
He walked down the street, towards Kai's apartment. Apparently, they had both gone different paths, but Scian didnt know. He walked up to the door, and knocked on it. Nothing. He knocked again. Nothing. He looked around, and noticed Kai's jacket going around the corner.
Scian sprinted after him, but when he rounded the corner, Kai's was gone.
"How does he do that? Oh well, looks like he was heading for the Avalon terminals. My best bet would be to go there now."
He walked the rest of the way to the building, and took out a old looking yellow card. He slid it into the reader on the door, as the light aove it turned green. He opened the door and entered the building. On the sphere projector, he saw highlights of today and yesterday, and it just happened to by Kai's scene from yesterday. Scian watched as Kai's moved swiftly, using the tank to blow up the armored helicopter. It was a impossible feat, but yet it worked.
Scian looked around, and didnt see Kai's, so he decided to sit down and wait for him.
Talea was spread out on her bed. Her computer was making an odd beeping noise, which woke her. Four New messages she thought. Geez, people never leave me alone! She slumped out of bed and read her messages. The first two were bounty and confirmation e-mails. If she killed someone, whe would get a small amount of money, if she killed a bounty more money, if she made someone become an Unreturned, she would recieve their whole account, and if she unreturned a bounty, she recieved their account plus the bounty and a bonus. It was an insane system, and an insane world, but that was how things got done. She didn't clear any bounties, and recieved measly funds fro the first mail, but the second..She had made a player Unreturned, with her headshot. Apparantly this man was rich for she got more than enough money just by killing him. Nearly one hundred thousand dollars.
Her screen was flashing something about a custom weapon. This caught her eye. But she would not respond. He account could be suspended if she opened the mails let alone responded to one...Kalas...Odd username. the last message changed...It was about a Butix injection. But now it was a system message giving me skematics for a new area... Ruin 8C. The Kalas message changed now...It was telling her to meet at Ruin 8C. This man obviously had some skill, and knew what he was doing. Maybe he was in one of the higher-up positions of the game. But she could still not open or respond to any of these mails. Too risky...The titles spoke for them...
She cleared the messages, and logged off the Avalon usernet. She was going to go to Avalon again, but first she needed to shower. She undressed, showered, and dired off. The steam had fogged up the mirror. Without getting dressed she made sure her hair didn't look bad, and threw on a layer of makeup. She tossed on panties, a bra, a tight pair of jeans, and a black tank top. Her necklace was last. It was precious to her, given to her by her boyfriend, who became an unreturned. Her parents had died long ago, and she supported herself on this game. Going without caring into heated battles, and luckily returning with no harm done to her. She made her way to the Avalon station after putting her skater style shoes on. Her pale blue eyes shone in the light. And her straight black hair bounced as she moved, along wiht other assorted body parts. She was a skinny girl, and had always fit into small clothing. These clothes were from a few years before, and she still fit them. She was five foot four inches, and smiled at a cute boy who walked past her. The Avalon station was a place for lowlifes, but just ten minutes from it, was peace and serenity.
Scian had grown bored waiting for Kais to show, so he had gotten up and started to walk to the terminals. The attendee looked at him, and motioned for him to take the empty terminal on her right. Scian slid his card in the machine, and got comfortable in the chair. The main screen flashed on, giving Scian several options. On the bottom of the screen, NEW EMAIL was flashing. He clicked it, and it opened to the email screen. Junk mail, something about a Butix injection, he scrolled past it. The next email was from Kalas, whom Scian thought he had met before in Avalon. It had a title that made Scian delete it, I made you a Custom Weapon. If he replied to it, or even read it, he would be banned from Avalon. He deleted it, and read on. A anynomous user was requesting Scian to join him at Ruin 8c. It seemed intersting, and Scian decided he may go check it out. Suddenly, the screen flashed a message. Anynomous: Soon, the end of the day is near…
It was only on the screen for not much more then 2 seconds, but Scian had enough time to read it. He blinked, as the screen was back to the normal mail screen. He closed out of that screen, and clicked the log in option. His body twitched slightly, as the game kicked in. All the receptors activated, as he felt like he was pulled out of his real body and into Avalon.
He had appeared inside a run down church, his favorite login place. His trench coat wafted slightly in the breeze, as he looked around. There was nothing. No sound, no gun shots, nothing. It was odd, but then he noticed it. The odd blurring at the edge of his vision, a time lag. Out of thin air, several soldiers had appeared, each sporting uzi's or AK's. Scian looked at them, they were surronding him, and clearly had him out guned, but not for long. Scian slipped his arms out of the coats arms, and grabbed the Akimbo Uzi's he had on his sides. He swung the guns up and began to fire.
The first soldier was no problem, he was cut down in the opening fire, but as Scian started firing, so did all the others. Scian quickly rolled to the side, his trench coat slidding off to the ground, as gun fire filled the air. He stood up, firing at the 2 soldiers at the rear, hitting one in the leg and stomach, and the other in the head, making him disappear. He took off at a full run, sprinting down the pew as the other soldiers fired away. Wood chips blew into the air in the spree of gun fire, as Scian crashed through a stain glass window. He rolled into a crouch, seeing a van had rolled up in the lag and dropped the soldiers off. Scian opened the passenge door and killed the driver, as he climbed in. He guned the gas, as the van took off. The soldiers had, by this time, gotten outside and began to fire at the van, blowing out windows, and putting holes in the sides.
Scian didnt know where to run. If there were soldiers after him, then reinforcments could be anywhere. He would have to lay low and wait for Kais to log in so Scian could stand a chance in a open fight against the A.I. on that scale.
Not long after he was followed, Kais managed to escape from being stalked upon. Kais took a walk around a block or two, trying to figure out what he has done wrong in his life. Of all the area he been to, they all looked the same. Many people walk around like they are mindless people who have no control of their life. Kais looked at some of the adults’ face, revealing no expression, not even a slight happy face. Kais shuddered in life, didn’t want to be one of them. He must have a reason for playing Avalon.
The thought of his dog popped into his mind. Achaeus was a really old dog, probably on its way to dieing. If not for him, Kais would probably die a horrible death when he was young. Kais smiled that Achaeus suffered a lot from Kais’ life, giving Kais a chance to live his life. In returned, Achaeus grown old but still could survive for another month or so. Kais believed that no matter what Achaeus is or where he is, he is always part of Kais’ soul and body. Kais had a rather painful past, something he doesn’t want to talk about. But whenever he felt Achaeus on his side, Kais always felt motivated from him. Perhaps a friendship between animals and humans are somewhat complex enough to understand what natural meaning of life could be.
Although he was already motivated, he has a long way to go to Avalon. For Achaeus, he continues to strive on where he left off. He quickly was in a hurry, but was surrounded by a crowd of people. He pushed them aside, trying to resist the flow of the many people. He finally managed to pushed them aside, but some he punched them because they body-bashed Kais. Kais always believed that people today have no matter, because of the world is coming to. Is this reality, or a game world he is playing in?
No matter what, he finally made his way to the train station, having to arrive just in time to take the rail train and headed toward to Avalon. When he finally got on the train, the door shut in and he took some deep breathes and try to relax. After all, he just ran and punches some people just to reach to one location. Having to take a break, he thought about the message from Kalas. He wondered if anyone else has one, or that glitches he saw before. He remembers that Ruin C8 was available for him but Kais remember that there was already Ruin C8 available… How two Ruin C8 could exist?
Soon, when the train began to slow down, Kais looked at the next station. There were some few peoples he does not recognize among them. When the doors open, many people began to run in, but Kais ran out quickly as possible. He thought that this Kalas person was someone who was very impatient about everything. Of course, taking another deep breathes, he finally went over to the stairs, running down fast as he could. He almost tripped but regained his focus and balance, he ran all the way down. Finally, he made his way to Avalon’s entrance…
“Uh?”
Although nothing strange was blocking the way, he felt an eerily feeling that spread throughout the body. Perhaps it was his imagination but he sworn that he felt that someone was spying on him. He looks around his surrounding, but notice that he was in a pit-like area or a dead-end alley. Surely, no one could get away without being spied upon. Kais shook his head and open to Avalon’s lobby.
The door slammed so hard, it gave Kais quite a shock when he entered. He examines though out the room, of course it just look like a hotel lobby. Kais look at the waiting room, where many players are watching much 3-D digital spherical shape. The spherical shape is known for Multiconnect Event Action Replay (can be call as MEAR) because it always take someone’s game event and reveal it on the spherical. Once of the highest technology, MEAR can record any event game play and replay it on the screen.
Kais ran over to the reference desk, the same spot where he got paid yesterday. He asked if there was a station that he could play, and only one was available. Kais ask if he could use that station right now, and the mid-aged woman said that it was on stand-by. Kais quickly thanks her as he ran through the jail-bar door. The station number 9, he muttered to himself. He quickly run and examined most games door number. When he saw Door Number 9, he opened as if he was in a hurry, and seem like he was barging into a party without any invitation. The door slammed shut behind and there was Kais. In station 9 room, there was a black leather chair, with two arms strap and legs strap on each side.
The room itself seems like a mental prison’s cell. It wasn’t like a normal cell but a dirty one. Few pipes are connected to the walls and some joined up into the ceiling. There was heavy machinery that was lodge into the ceiling but it was same that it was somewhat attracted to the ceiling for some reasons. Of course, the helmet is known as Brain Receptors, which allow for someone’s mind and body to be somewhat digitized into a computer core of memory, then there processes many mind into data, creating a 3-D life-like game.
Kais jumped into the chair, and access into the main menu. He logged in, and checks out his stat:
Class: Mage
Level: 4
Strength: 31
Constitution: 24
Dexterity: 59
Intelligence: 65
Armor Class: .02
Equipment:
FPR 380ACP (Pistol – Light weight.)
SVD 7.65x56R (Sniper rifle – medium weight. (Not equip able for mage yet.))
None
None
None
Kais was already prepared to go. But before he gets started, a disturbing message came across his screen. The message reads:
Sender: Anonymous.
Message Title: You may want to help your friends at Ruin C8… Heh…
“Fuck… Someone else got there before me…” Kais didn’t have much a choice; he must find some evidence of some sort there. He logged in, looking around the environment but no one in sight…
Note:
- You can use Reset opinion if you are on the verge of dieing. The Reset opinion will allow members to escape the mission but you will wake up in real life. Once this happened, you cannot go back to the mission, and you will begin to puke. The reason why is because the mind is reject the full downloading into the player’s brain’s pattern, creating a hard time and make you feel somewhat sick. If you reset one too much (in a same day), you can eventually die or become weaker. You can return to your home to recovered and later come back for a real mission.
- Team Option is now allow. This allowed you to team up with another player or user. This helps other team to get an advantage in some certain missions, and some you can do alone. Team Option can let you have as much as anyone you want, but some many reject or quit your team. This is pretty useful option, if you are being outnumbered and out power. This also helps if someone is nearby.
The van slid around the corner, as Scian frantically tried to escape the helicopter following him. The Heavy Armored Attack Copter (or H.A.A.C for short) barrled past the van, spraying the side with machine gun fire. Scian swerved, the machine gun fire ripping through the van. A bullet had barely grazed his leg, just enough to cut it and make it bleed slightly. The helicopter moved past the van, and was going to fire dead infront of Scian.
Scian quickly looked around, and saw a Bazooka laying on the floor behind the front seats (A Bazooka and RPG are different. A bazooka explodes all around, a RPG uses a shaped charge to blow up in a straigh path with very little surronding damage. As the helicopter circled around, Scian had already picked up the bazooka. It was loaded, of course.
Drawing his Uzi, he opened fire on the cockpit of the helicopter. Although bullet proof, there is only so much fire it could take before breaking. The helicopter hesitated, not firing when it should have. Scian pointed his Uzi down, and shot the locks to the seat off, and pointed back and shot the rear door open. The driver seat slid back, and out of the van in time for the machine gun fire to tear it to shreds.
As Scian was still in the air, he aimed for the expose cockpit with the Bazooka and fired. The rocket went dead on into the cockpit, ripping the whole front of the copter to pieces. It spiraled out of control, and crashed down on the van.
Now stranded, Scian looked around. It was oddly quite again, but this time, no time lag. He felt a strange presence, and turned to see what it was. He was amazed, layed before him was a whole ruin area. He pulled out a map, and guessed his location. There were no ruins anywhere near where he was, but as he looked, a new location appeared.
Ruin 8c
"What do we have here? That seems odd, Ruin 8c is 100+ miles away, how is it here?"
Scian folded up the map, and decided to check it out. With Akimbo Uzi's in hand, he set off down the small hill into the ruin. He made his movments as quick as he could, scouting the area. It certianley LOOKED like Ruin 8c, but something was wrong. He opened up another screen, and sent Kais a message.
"Kais, would you happen to know anything about the second Ruin 8c? It just appeared here out of no where. Ill send you my cordinates, come find me."
He finished it by sending the cordinates along with the message. He sat down against a wall, where it was shaded.
"Why is there 2 Ruin 8c? This is getting weirder and weirder by the moment... What the hell was that noise?"
Scian peaked around the corner. He almost had a heart attack. Several behemoths had apparently appeared in the Ruins. Having nothing to fight them, Scian hid. He ran to the most run down looking place, and leapt in. He covered himself with some plywood, and layed quitely. The Behemoths were looking for him, but they would not find one small person hiding. He sent another message to Kais
"Hurry, there are several Behemoths in the ruins, and I dont have enough fire power to take them out alone! Bring help!"
And with that, he waited patiently.
OOC: Behemoths are those giant towering tank things, remeber when Ash is looking for the ghost with Bishop? That is the Behemoth, a huge towering tower tank with heavy firepower and good armor.
Talea reached the Avalon HQ for her city. She walked to the frint desk and got a key. She opened up one of the stations, and chose the full mental connection. She sat down in the chair, and was strapped in by the mechanical constraints. She had one arm free as she tapped a message to Kais, saying:
"Come to Ruin 8C with me. I have the direct link that this guy sent me here. I'll send it to you...
<3 Talea"
She didn't think twice about inviting this stranger to this place. She needed someone good at least. She tapped on her stat option, to make sure everything was in order...
Class: Cleric
Level: 4
Strength: 43
Constitution: 26
Dexterity: 92
Intelligence: 34
Wisdom: 44
MP: 057
Armor Class: .11
Equipment:
Commando Tavor Assault Rifle--
None
Two Standard Issue Grenades
None
None
Hmmm...Something wasnt' right...Where did the sniper rifle go!? Must be some sort of glitch. She put the helmet on her head reluctantly, and linked herself to Ruin 8C. she was puzzled once more...This was not Ruin 8C, sure it looked like Ruin 8C, but this was definitely not it. She saw a man hide behind plywood from the corner of her eye. And saw why. Behemoths. Lots of them. She ran and ducked around a corner. Her character image was wearing her city clothes, no camo. She thought this would ba a good meeting ground, not a trap. Silly of her. Her gun was around her chest, and she lifted it off the strap. Holding it in both hands. Peeking around the corner, she saw the tanks stopped. She turned back, and checked to see if the gun was loaded. She needed to link with the person behind the plywood. Maybe Kais would be here soon...
A flat icon mail appears in front of Kais’ eye. Again, another player sent him a message, and this time, it was Scian. Seeing that he was in a same location, he was probably in trouble. Of course, he was in the same area that Scian was in. And bam, another message came. It was Scian who need some help. Help? He is a solo player and how does everyone seem to know him better? And suddenly a pop came out to his mind. Kais began to think that Talea could help Scian in the area, if of course, she have enough time. Kais quickly sent to both Talea and Scian.
To Talea:
A friend of mine is currently being stuck in Ruin 8C. I believed he needs your help there and I will also meet you there if you are already on. Be careful, Scian told me that there are Behemoths around there. Behemoths have one weakness and you must aim at the grille on their back. Oh, his username is Scian, talk to him and try to plan thing until I get there. And one more thing, Behemoths are not something to fool around with. They are armed with many cannons and machines gun so fighting one alone won’t get you alive.
To Scian:
I am sending out one guy to help you, hopefully. Her name is Talea and treats her with any respect as well. I don’t know where the hell I am but I will get there as soon as possible. Make sure you and Talea talk to each other and plan thing until I get there. Otherwise, you could get screwed and reset may be in order or something.
After sending two messages away, Kais took an examination around his area. He noticed that he was standing out a similar ruin he was in before, Ruin 8C. But the surrounding seems to be different then he used to be in before. True, the buildings are destroyed, but the landscape was much different. Few flowers are hiding in the shade, few ounces of water or a puddle of water flows around, but somehow the water stop flowing toward to the flowers, as something was in it way. But a small stream of water has not moved yet, or has begun it track either. It simply froze there, not moving.
A loud BAM was heard, around the corner of the street. Few of the ruins were high enough to cover almost everything, but it seems more of an abandoned city. The city seem to be covered in metal-like stone, giving it a weird look like it was about to be extinct. No matter, Kais ran down to the street’s corner but hide behind a building just before going around at the corner on his right side. Taking a deep breath, he peeks quickly around the corner and withdraw his head. This method helps one person to get the sight of enemy and do it without any notice.
Of course, he saw a few people there, but they seem froze alright. He try another quick sight, he peek a little longer this time and saw two people standing there, and seem like they are talking to each other. Beowulf scout ahead of him, and there was no one in sight. Was he in a firewall or is this a glitch or something? He walked over to the two frozen people.
One of them was holding something in his hand, a small metal box. But before Kais could touch it, he examines the two people. One of them was hooded person, a Bishop perhaps? Wasn’t sure about his class, he try pushing the hood back but he couldn’t. It is as if it weight like an elephant and the statue stood there. The hood conceals the face and Kais couldn’t make it out of it. Then he took another look at the other statue. It was as if this person was screaming in fear, not pain. A youth person, looking at 25 years old and yet look like 17 years old, was about to run away. However, the statue has no face, as if it was wiped off. The shadowing and the face, Kais examined that lightening and make out of the person’s face. True, the eyes were covered by the skins but you could see a glimpse of his eye, his nose and his mouth.
Already freaked out, Kais look over at the small metal box and touch it… Nothing happened. He, unaware of the surrounding, took the small metal box and hid it in his coat. Soon, the two statues began to fades away and vaporized. Kais, unaware of what behind him, examines behind him. And what he saw was no more then where he was… Ruin 8C. The place where Scian and Talea are. He was exposed to the Behemoth and suddenly appeared out of nowhere and was directly in front of them.
“SHIT! SHIELD!”
As the Behemoth began to shoot at Kais with some 90 millimeter rockets, a barrier-like rose up and protect Kais just in time. Lucky, for being a mage, he could cast magic when he need to. But still, the position he is at is no longer safe. He quickly ran to his right, and evade from Behemoth’s sight of assault. But soon, he needs to hide quickly. They are the most dangerous enemies / tank to deal with and they know where Kais is. Kais need a plan because he is stuck alone in one area. Then he quickly got a thought.
To Talea & Scian:
Shit, where did the Behemoth came from? I though this was suppose to be an easy mission! Anyway, I am going to need your help guy. Tell me where you are now ASAP! And make sure you guys are teammate, alright? We will call ourselves Team Reginald. We can change the team name later.
Note: Please play out your action before I came and after I came. This way, it would be easier to understand what both of you did while I was popped out of nowhere from a glitch Ruin 8C. This also let you get a chance to move from a different location.
Username: Flight
Age: 18
Class: Warrior
Rank: D
Information:
Background: Unknown
Eyes: Small, grey
Hair: Dishevelled black
Flight goes through the menus trying to find a new map. He comes across one he hadn't noticed before, Towers 4A. He enters it, finding himself in the centre of four towers, all on four corners of a rocky landscape. He gets slightly scared when he can't see a single soul in the arena. The only place Flight couldn't see in was the towers, even with the zoom on his Gunguir 10XR sniper rifle. He runs into a small hole in one of the larger hills, and saw a couple of shots hit the floor behind him.
Letting out a huge sigh, he sends out a message to all players in that map in an attempt to get help. He knew who ever was shooting at him was positioned in the tower, and obviously had their guns aimed at the hole, waiting for Flight to step out like a newbie would. He begins to dig a hole using his hands in a soft dirt patch. After he gets about half a metre in, he places a grenade in there. If this didn't work he was as good as dead. He pulled the pin and waited near the edge of the cave.
The grenade explodes, propelling Flight quite a distance. He suffers some damage, but lands in a running position towards the north west tower. He hears a machine gun firing at him from the distance, most shots missing him completely, some of them skimming past him. He gets to the door of the tower, now equipped with his pistol. He waits a few seconds incase someone runs out to attack him, then kicks through the door. No one is there. He climbs up the square spiralled stairs until he reaches the top, to find no one was located at this tower.
With huge relief, he sets up a small base here. He equips the fixed snipe attachment to his sniper rifle, staying well in the shadows of the tower. After setting up a small medi-kit rack for easy health restoration, Flight puts his eye to the scope, equipping a custom "Triple Zoom", obviously tripling the zoom of the sniper scope. He carefully examins each of the towers, waiting for a movement in the darkness.
Talea recieved the mail, but had no time to respond. She peeked around the corner. She was not at all prepared for combat. Damn...
"Psst. Team up, I think the team name is:Reginald. Ok, and then we go in oppoisite directions, that or you distract these damn things..."
She could not wait for his response, and was off, running around the Behemoth. She knew she was faster than it, and she was, for good reasons too. She latched herself onto the tank, and started climbing up to the grate. The other behemoth didn't seem to notice her...yet. Talea found the metal grate, not too far from the top, and pulled her assault rifle from her side. She fired three times, breaking the metal grate. Aha....Ventilation. She grasped one of her standard issue frags pulled the pin, tossed it inside, and leapt the distance between the one behemoth, to the other. Holding on for dear life as the explosion racked the second behemoth.(I hope there're only two...)
He had heard TAlea, and as the first Behemoth exploded, Scian moved. He shot out across the street, to the smoldering Behemoth, as he fired at the second one. The third one was on the other side of the ruins, and didnt seem to notice what was going on. As he ran, Kais suddenly appeard behind Scian.
Scian's eyes shoot up to the Behemoth, which had noticed Kais and began to fire rockets at him. Scian dove down, and rolled out of the blast radius. Luckily, Kais was a mage and could project a shield, but he wouldnt be able to do that again for some time due to that assualt.
Scian looked to his left, and saw what he was running for. It was the Chain Gun the Behemoths used for anti infantry. He hefted it up, having to stay on a bended knee to heave the thing up and aim it.
"TALEA, MOVE!"
She had quickly let go, and dropped down to the armor plating above the things wheels. It had been good timing as well, becuase Scian opened up with the chain gun. The rounds tore holes in the Behemoths plating, but Scian was not concerned with extermal damage.
"Where the hell is this things gas ta-!!!"
He almost had no time to warn Talea to jump. The smell of a gas leak was the only warning.
"TALEA! JUMP!!!"
Talea looked back at the Behemoth before leaping off the platform. The gas tank ignited, and then exploded almost like a huge frag grenade mixed with Napalm. The entrie top portion of the tank exploded in a firery blast, its ammo stores also exploding and creating a even bigger explosion. Talea was proppeled through the air, and managed to hit the ground and tumble back into a crouched position.
Scian on the other hand was knocked back on to his ass, the chain gun falling to the side. He stood up, looking around himself. Talea seemed to have minor cuts and scraps, but otherwise looked fine. Scian felt nothing wrong with himself, and he managed to stand up. The other Behemoth must have seen the explosion, but it was gone. Another glitch, Scian did not know...
"Kais, where are you? Were over here by the 2 behemoths!!!
OOCorry for controlling your chara Talea, but it was either that or your chara would have been killed . I just made her get out of harms way.
OOc--Tis fine. Just don't do that too often OK?
Talea coughed as the smoke entered her lungs. What a realistic game...She shook that off. Her entire body hurt. Damn. She looked up at Scain.
"Use one of my medpacks on me. I'm hurt, and can't move from the fall for another minute or so. I hate it when this happens."
He clothes were singed, but not ruined. It was the force with which she was blown back by that hurt her. Damn, that was a stupid move. Her Medpack was visible on her belt. And she hoped Scain would heal her soon.
Desroth nodded his head, and opened the bottle. He put it to her lips as she drank it down. Her aches and pains seemed to go away, but Desroth wasnt sure. Desroth stood up, and started to move toward the wreckage. It seemed to be burning, but actually, there was a glitch in it. You could see all of the layers of the flame.
"What exactly is going on with this area? Why did we get brought here?? This is all starting to get a little fishy..."
Desroth looked around the ruins, which were now oddly silent. He didnt know what they should do now, so he waited, crouched by the wreckage of the behemoth, providing himself some cover so they could decide what to do..
