This game is set to release in Japan on August 4, 2005. I have not heard or read anywhere whether this game will be out here in the US. But here's the official site (in Japanese though) of the game: Grandia 3

Click on the Japanese text in the middle of the screen to enter the site. When inside, click on the treasure chest in the menu on the bottom left corner there (called "Special") to see a 3 minute, 8 seconds trailer of the game. Screenshots are amazing here -- and it looks like it's going to be quite an improvement over 2 and Xtreme.

Grandia 2 was great,

Xtream wasnt...so much.

But squenix is publishing it now i do belive.... Guess they needed a good franchise to throw out there to make up for and distract from their great in house dev teams leaving. I mean..when they give FF12 to their former 4th string dev team, you know somethings wrong...

Story wise I didn't really care for Grandia 2's, but the gameplay was incredible.

I never played Xtream, but yeah I've only heard it was very medicore.

I'm looking forward to this, with SquareEnix now publishing it it could turn out to be a very nicely polished game.

I'll Sum Up Xtream for you:

5 hours per dungeon(sp?) level.
500+ Dungeon levels

And thats the whole game. >.>

Sounds a little repetitive.

Yeah, but there's nothing like beating all the bosses with all of your characters at Level 200 though.

I loved Grandia II's combat system system, but I could never beat the game because my disc just kind of crapped out right after the cutscene where the blob thing eats the cathedral and Zera's all, "You fools!" But anyways, I look forward to this game's release.
