| well, I haven't started yet. I have to take some pre-employment tests first (some shit that has nothing to do with the job, and then a drug test) which should be no problem for me, but after that my training period begins.
I'm working at Sheetz. That's a gas station/convenience store, for those who don't know. My training period is five days, Tuesday-Monday, off on weekends, 8-4 (I think). After that, I'm working afternoons/evenings, probably 3-11 or 4-11 (mom won't let me work past 11. =/). Plus, since it's so close, I can just ride a bike to and from work. I'm the person that's cleaning the store, taking the trash out, and all that tedious boring shit. Ah well, a job's a job, and I need the money... |

| Well, *considers his own job*, doesn't sound too bad.
Looks like you'll be getting in more hours than myself, I usually only work 4-5 hour shifts, luckily our payday is in 2 week increments so it adds up. 5 days for training though? I have to say that kind of sucks, considering mine was in one day, but I've heard training is different for every job pretty much. | Training is nothing. Try two weeks for the Government, five days for Disneyland, two weeks for Tower Records, and one day plus a devirginizing project for Activision.
But, I do want to experience the harsh reality that work is work and not meant to be fun. Tis always fun to feed off your little shattered dreams. |

| Um, Tamarin... I believe there is a rule about not flaming people. Just reminding you, since he wasn't flaming you and just commenting about training. I also believe that the comment about feeding off your shattered dreams is ment as "your own shattered dreams", not literaly yours.

| Yeah, don't flatter yourself by thinking that I feed off your dreams entirely. I meant the population of the earth as a whole. Kind of like how Venom needs to feed on peep's energies to stay alive in Spider-Man...that sort of thing. But, if you wanna tell me to fuck off because you can't deal with crap and can't accept your emotions for what they are, do your thing. It's not like it affects me or anything. I, at least, proudly admit that I am a jackass and a jerk...and yet, I still have friends and a somewhat cool job. Go fig.
So, telling me that I'm something I already knew wasn't a big news story to me. As far as training goes, it's almost a month, and I'm still learning how to do things. In fact, training is often just an ongoing process for most positions. And while it seems that no one wants to accept work for what it is, I wish you luck in your endeavors. Even if I do find joy in other people's misery. Meh...it's who I am. So, we deal. |

| my job for this spring/summer was to umpire little league...20 bucks a game and i did around 5 games a week...so 100 bucks a week for a 15 year old..not bad...im looking into getting certified as an umpire...cause its fun and feeling official is great, and if you do a good job you can get tips and stuff...congrats on the job tamarin | |||

| Ok...i might be jumping in the middle of an arugment here, but my job is awesome. I work with some of my best friends, and we choose our own hours. We're paid slightly under minimum wage, but its under the table, so we dont have to pay taxes. We all have damn sexy tans, and we do lots of hard work, so we're all getting quite buff....i love it. | |||

I put enough space between flames, generally speaking, to keep myself out of trouble. 
And it pays $7.05 an hour. Now, as it turns out, I'm not really starting until next week. =/ The drug test has to be completed before I can even start. Understandable, though irritating. |
