| Yeah, it was lame. For the most part anyway. I mean, the Arya and Davos/Gendry scenes were awesome, but did they really have to just end with Daenerys and the freed Yunkai slaves. I feel like they did that just because she keeps getting the pinnacle scenes (the dragon birth, getting them to burn the man from the Undying and then sacking that guy's house for her ship/army fund) of the season finales and they want to keep that pattern going.
That final scene ACCOMPLISHED NOTHING. You already know that she's sacked Yunkai in the previous episode... Spoiler:
They could have used those wasted minutes to kill off Joffrey or some other character or introduce Lady Stoneheart. That is, unless more was supposed to happen before those plot points happen. Still, that bit at the beginning... Spoiler:
Putting Grey Wind's head on Robb's body was the worst thing I've ever seen on the show. Granted they were both already dead and wouldn't have felt a thing, it was still fucking awful. Worse than the Red Wedding for me. I hate that Ramsay Snow's identity was supposed to be the big reveal for the episode, and hell, even for the season since they put it in the finale. They were advertising the hell out of who they cast as Bolton's bastard. Seriously, they "wanted the viewer to be in it with Theon and not have any idea what was going on"? THEN DON'T FUCKING TELL US WHO THE KID FROM "MISFITS" IS SUPPOSED TO BE WHEN YOU CAST HIM. Hell, don't even tell us you cast him. Let it be a surprise like you want! And now we have to wait another 9 months for the next season to catch the rest of the book. |

| Yeah... I mean, for those that read the book it was obvious who he was... but still. Really?
Spoiler: And where was Coldhands?! Joffrey's bit is coming, but I also was expecting it for the finale... though Lady Stoneheart still has a bit before she comes in. I really like how she is introduced in the book, so I hope they don't change that. The other thing that has been bugging me is what the hell happened to Arya's sword? She should still have it! |

| In honor of Gendry's freedom, I made a pot of stew from the Ziplock bags of meat in our freezer that we just have from my parents stocking it up. Not sure if it's beef or pork or whatever, but we had a few good bowls of brown from it. | |||

| So I stalked George R. R. Martin to the elevators of the San Diego Hyatt on Sunday. Didn't talk to him (didn't really want to bother him); just walked a few paces behind him and then strolled immediately behind him and giggled when he got on the elevator.
I don't get starstruck very often these days. I should have at least thanked him for some of the characters he's written or something, but again I didn't want to bother him. Cute, little ball of a man with his turtle trinket on his hat. |

| I'm part of a group called "Daenerys Targaryan is Overrated" (link).
I've had trouble liking or understanding Dany since early season 2. Hell, late season 1, really. It's just that she's so self-entitled to a land that she doesn't even know. The people who run the page have read the books (and occasionally take to openly spoiling things), and get mad at the Dany fans who ignore her faults, especially the people who go on about how great her relationship with Drogo was. He was RAPING her. Anyway... all the hate has made me a Stannis fan, inadvertently. Spoiler regarding a major character: Spoiler: I now also know that Jon gets stabbed to death. Fucking hell. |

| Well... I'm sure I'll get this wrong, but I'm mostly suspecting the Tyrells. Ever since I heard about the spoiler, I long-suspected them of doing it.
But I don't see Cersei as being above poisoning her firstborn, who just married someone she hates, making them queen, while at the same time losing control over him. What's more I think it was more the pie than it was the wine. The whole episode kept focusing on how other characters wouldn't eat. Tyrion mentions Sansa's not eating while talking to Jaime who's also starving himself, nd saying he's feeling powerless without his hand. Varys is heading AWAY from the feasting, and going on about feeling powerless as a foreigner with nothing more than his "little birds." And then Stannis wouldn't eat saying the meat had turned. rape scene. I've already heard how it was different from the books, and I actually knew this spoiler was coming. Spoiler: I only thought it was Tommen they had sex in front of and not Joffrey, because the spoiler I'd heard was that they fucked in front of one of their dead children. |

| Yeah, Tommen was actually recast (along with Daario and The Mountain). The guy playing Tommen now is the same one who played Martin Lannister last season. |
