You can get rid off all the annoying changes by setting your language to "English (UK)." Sure, everything is in British English, but at least your Facebook page will be more familiar. 
I got Google+ early on as well... and don't use it. It's kind of lame.  |

| Facebook has been extremely glitch-ridden for me for the past month or so on TOP of the annoying changes to the recent/top stories fiasco.
I was stoic about not making a Google+ profile... but I caved in 10 minutes. Really easy to set up and I'm actually liking it far more than Facebook, to be honest. |

| Yeah, I switched over to the UK English and the only thing that changed was the right-hand column... which was one of the changes from the last round of "updates" that I didn't care for either... but at least it didn't fuck with shit.
What pisses me off is that I posted about the change yesterday and a few people laughed at me, thinking it was the old ass update. Now that they got hit with the changes, they are all raging, and no "I'm sorry". ... not like they could find the post to comment on to say sorry anyway though. But yeah, when the little box came up talking about the updates, I clicked "leave feedback" and told them I fucking hated it and wanted the old layout back. I think that we should all flood the feedback box with messages of just how much we hate this thing. Otherwise, I'm on Google+ as well. |

Some of you guys have me on FB and you can see how much I use it... hardly ever. As for the recent update, I think I somehow turned it off because I don't see it anymore. I never got into xanga, myspace, or FB that much at all. More of a forums guy I guess. |

OK, this is what the rest of us are seeing:
The feed in the center is what Facebook thinks we'll find interesting, as opposed to just showing the most recent updates and such. It marks off these Top Stories with a blue triangle in the lefthand corner. Also there's this ticker-like feed on the right and scrolls down with you as you scroll through the page. The ticker tells you what people have clicked that they like, what they commented onto other people pages, and so on. I haven't heard anyone say they like any of these implemented changes. The new "reviews" thing is annoying as hell to me though and I am seeing that. I gotta "review" to make sure, yes I went to my high school with X friend, yes X person is family and what the relation is, holy shit leave me alone. lol So close to taking FB off my quicklinks. When that happens, I am too lazy to type URL's so I'd stop going completely. |

| This update is REALLY shitty. I mean, it's a bitch to navigate in terms of trying to just read the latest and not stuff that's 12 hours old first because they think you might be interested.
The Oatmeal cut out a piece of a comic they did on Facebook from a State of the Web comic he previously did and has been flashing it around to make fun of the people pissed off: Link I mean, it was funny regarding the past updates where they mostly just changed the look, and yeah, people only really complained for a day. This update, however, has people still pissed off, including those who apparently were getting the new layout over the last few days. I wish my account had no changes. Lucky bastard, Xeo. |
