You and your team are so bad ass that not even hell itself can close on you

What is Saga Frontier?

Saga Frontier is a game released on the original Sony Playstation in 1997. It was released months earlier thanb Final Fantasy 7, and was basically left in the dust due to FF7 being released shortly after. Funny thing is that it was made by the same people who made FF7!

But Saga Frontier nets you in a different perspective. Instead of one main storyline. You have to choose between several different stories. All ranging from 7-12 hours to complete.

Also, this game uses the same code (Graphics) as seen in SNES titles. However, due to a much higher processing power, they were able to throw in a bunch of extra stuff that was only available with this game. Meaning, classic 16-bit gameplay but enhanced. Kinda like Megaman 9/10 on current gen consoles.

Why should I play this game?

For starters. It has an amazing battle system. You learn skills based on what weapon you have equipped. You can learn spells based on how skillful you are in that field after every battle, and finally, every battle can be tough. The game will literally throw you some oddballs every now and then, and there will be chances you will suddenly learn a move in which turns the whole battle around.

Not to mention the kickass music. Every score in this game is fantastic to listen to.

I heard this game was poorly translated.

In a way, it is.

I also heard this game is difficult to follow

Yes. Without a FAQ you might get lost on some of the 'Quests' this game throws at you. It's one of those games where you really need a guide in order to get the most out of this game.

Like with all your threads...how about some video?

Certainly! I will post some wah-ass battles. Some of them might be final boss battles! So I will post spoiler icons!

Spoiler:
This video is Blue's Chapter. This is the final Boss. You can't win this fight. But basically you have to fight 'Satan' long enough to keep hell's doors open. But there is a catch. Your team has to fight Satan forever. This is not my favorite quest due to the ending. But 'Blue' Can learn every single damn magic ability in the game. Which makes the quest alone fun to play with. He can even learn Time magic. Which enables you to not only stop time. But do Level 5 combos 8 times!

Spoiler:
This too is a final Battle. But the funny thing about this fight is that not only can you fight the final boss right off the bat. But you can beat him at your current stats. 'Lute''s quest is not only fun but addicting. As he can learn swordskills as well as fighting moves very quickly. Even DSC (Dream Super Combo) Which is arguably one of the best moves in the game. The move alone can dish out 50k HP. And using it does not cost much. Only problem is actually pulling off all 10 combos. Which is all based on luck.

Spoiler:
T260G (Or as I named him, ThonG) is very VERY fun to play. However it is hard. The Robot falls in love with a human child and swears by his life to defend him. He is so bad ass, that he asks no questions. During a tournament the boy accidently puts him in the ring and the Robot just says "Target Aquired. 100% chance for destruction" and just plain bum rushes the monster. But in this fight. He is fighting an AI. Which not only threatens the world. But also has T260G's life in his hands. Which means when the boss dies. He dies. But he still beats the ever living shit out of him anyways.
