Yeah Red Stag is probably what I was drinking, it definitely had a slight cherry flavor to it. Admittedly it got more intense going down every shot... haha. Maybe I've just been around a ton of crappy whiskey, but so far this is the only kind I enjoyed a little bit.

That and I think they were one of the first ones to have the side board thing going... except I remember they ended up having what looked like 200 forums or something.

By the way do you or anyone else know by chance what was the other big rom hacking site next to CGC, TEK, and Acmlm's back then? I think a guy from CGC branched off from them and made his own board... in fact I think I was good friends with him for a long time but I completely can't remember what his name was or the site.

Oh wow holy crap, thanks to archive.org I found it. Vagla! One of those cool guys back then I knew that completely and utterly disappeared from the net after a short while... I think he was on Acmlm's for a bit. But he ran DES, Dragon Eye Studios back in those days. Crazy nostalgia.

I also kept in touch with DxEdge from TEK off and on, I think he's still on my XBL list and pops up from time to time. Always had some epic Mega Man hack idea's but I'm not sure if he ever did a full hack.
