Comedy Central cancels 'Reno'
Series just wrapped its sixth season

"Reno 911!" won't be answering emergency calls anymore.

Comedy Central has canceled the mocumentary series after six seasons.

The news broke the way a lot of news tends to break these says, with a tweet.

"Reno 911! was cancelled at 1:30 pm today," the show's co-creator/star Thomas Lennon wrote on his Twitter feed Thursday afternoon. "Won't be wearing the shorts again."

The sixth season of "Reno 911!" wrapped its run July 8.

The show, a parody of "Cops"-type law enforcement documentary shows," co-stars Kerri Kenney-Silver, Cedric Yarbrough, Niecy Nash and Robert Ben Garant.


This is just one disappointment after another it seems. King of the Hill, My Name is Earl (even if TBS does pick it up, I don't have cable...), I mean, with Reno 911! there was always watching it online or at someone's house, but for it to be gone entirely?

What's Comedy Central even have thesedays? Outside of the Talk Shows of course...

On the bright side, the cast of the show has had some spotlight in movies here and there. So I imagine they'll get to move on, but yeah. Kind of sucks.

Well, Comedy Central's resurrecting Futurama soon.

At the panel at Comic-Con, Matt Groening was saying Amy and Bender were going to have a hot and heavy relationship.

But yeah, the Daily Show and Colbert Report are the only other things come to mind.

Oh, thank the gods.

That had to be the most painful piece of mock-television I've ever had the displeasure of viewing.

I honestly don't know how it stayed on the air for as long as it did.
