Well, I guess we can blame Lelouch ... but I'd say instead just blame Suzaku's existance! 
Yeah, not sure what Cornilia is doing, but I've always liked her. Would be cool to see her and Lelouch team up because the Black Knights seem to be letting their loyalty slip away or something. I'm not a big Nunnally fan either but I think if that really killed her, it'd be really anticlimatic. She didn't even speak once in the episode and it happened so fast. I'm sure Kallen got out of their with her godlike Guren, I think they went a LITTLE over the top with that, but hey... she was captured for so long, so I guess it was cool to see her come back and own everyone. |

Orenji coming back and joining Zero was totally awesome. All of Episode 14 made me bleed liquid gold. God damn this anime is all over the place. You never know what's going to happen.  |

Definitely don't read this TP I've shamefully been reading spoilers off and on about R2 on /m/, and so far most of them have actually come true. It's kind of obvious what happens next, but yeah.

Guren was just a little too Gundam-esque, but it also answered my wish to see Britannia get their asses kicked around in the battle, including Suzaku. So whatev. |

| I definitely didn't like the way CC's memory returned, seemed really rushed and anticlimatic compared to when she lost them.

| It's just become more of a mess in my opinion. Now they want to make Schneizel out to be the bigger villian, for who knows why. I think they handled the finale with the Emperor and Marianne pretty horribly, to be honest. It was just really anticlimatic.
I can't even tell what Lelouch is fighting for now and why, throughout the entire first season it was pretty much for Nunnally and his mother... turns out his mother was just another typical "I want to change the world" type next with the Emperor. I did not like that at all. And what, Lelouch and Suzaku are teaming up now? I guess I kind of saw that coming, but that doesn't mean it makes any sense. They clearly have done so much against each other forgiveness seems impossible. Knight of One, can't wait to see what his hax Geass is. And I'm sure Nunnally is still alive and probably has a Geass herself. Blah. I think it's settled that I'm just not going to look at this season as highly as I did the first.

| Mostly agree with what you said. Marianne possessing Anya period was a little weird, but for her to be a two-bit villain and end like that with the Emperor? Lame.
I was really hoping for Suzaku and Lelouch to fight it out til' the end. Lelouch now also has double-eye Geass, what the christ?  Knight of One, who knows what his Geass might be. Maybe his Geass allows him to shoot a laser from it. Or possibly the ability to fix the plot.
Don't know what the hell is going to happen now, since Schneizel has now just turned into some evil dude. Could have wrote this in the first place, but during that post, I couldn't put it into words. I was just sort of "  " |

Schneizel ... there better be "more" to him, than him just being some smart guy. Hell, just give him a Geass since so many other characters have one this season. Right now he just doesn't seem like that big of a deal at all. I guess there's still room for more, the plot can totally change since it's Geass, so who knows what will happen now. I can agree though that a finale with Lelouch and Suzaku would be great. I think throughout the first season I always thought it'd be epic if they ever teamed up, but season 2 has pretty much ruined my interest in Suzaku's character ... one episode it feels like we're supposed to hate him, then the next we're supposed to feel sympathy for him or something. Basically, his character just seems completely random. What the hell was that scene with him and Nena after that weapon-thing went off? Seemed like he went insane, then it's like the next scene ... he was normal. Interestingly enough I found an interview recently with the director himself and some more comments about what the series has become. Simply put it just doesn't sound like what we got was anything director Goro Taniguchi originally envisioned. All in all I've got to say, my patience has run a little thin. I'm honestly kind of looking forward to it ending so the second season of Gundam 00 will start up. "Schneizel uses Nunnally, thought to be killed by F.L.E.I.J.A., against Lelouch". So she is alive. So yeah, 21 is crazy. Code Geass is definitely getting a little anticlimactic in places. But I still really look forward to each episode. I am really looking forward to Gundam 00 Second Season. |
