| I have seen so many times that my generation has been depicted as over sexxed, over drugged, and under aged. I'm tired of all the bullshit. So I decided to pull an experiment with my parents to actually SEE if the stereotypes stay.
I was right. But when you txt your parents "Oh wow, pot is so good didn't know what I was missing..." I was thinking: Mom wouldn't think I would be out getting high because she knows I take a monthly piss test... Wrong... She believed the stereotypical college student in a dorm full of pot heads. Oh she gave in... damn she's going to get her ass in soo much trouble. So I come home... No scent on me. I missed out on sex because my boyfriend went out of town for the weekend... damn it. This guy was literally putting himself on a plate and handing himself to me and I was like "....nnnnno." So... I went to the River Center dorms. Hung out with some friends. They all wanted to see "Heroes" lucky me I had the box set in my car so I got it and we watched it in the movie room. Hooray... Now i come home my sis is in her room. I'm so fucking tired I just want to say good night tell her about my night and go to bed. Let's not for get that the stereotypes are TWICE as strong in her age range. So my sister goes "You're so fucking stupid." I look over at her and glare. "What?" "I was at a party where pot and alcohol was involved and I didn't give in." "Bullshit I gave in, I sent the text message because I was experimenting the stereotypes in parents minds." "Bullshit, you got high." "Hell no... I am not high. Didn't even touch it. I had fun knocking down the pot heads pyramid of Mt. Dew cans." "That why you're home smelling like pot?" "they didn't even smoke around me..." I smelled myself. "I don't even smell like it. If anything I smell like strong ass cigarette smoke." "I don't care. I'm going to bed." So I got pissed and sent mom some more text messages: Our generation is under aged, over sexxed, and over drugged. When we come home smelling like a friend's dorm room the following generation will intergoate us and insult us. Let us not forget that the class of '08 is twice as over sexxed and underaged as mine. Let us bow our heads in prayer so that my generation may find their way out of their dorm rooms and into the world away from alcohol and glue. So I am smarter than what I put myself out to be, but it was really stupid of me to put out the stereotypical experiment to my parents... All I have to say about this whole thing was... Atleast it wasn't my grand parents. |

| But your mom (I hope) sees other people in our Generation as good people. Take me for example. Your parents love me right? Of Course they do, they gave me that medication thats really helping me out, so be sure to tell her thanks for me. But getting to my point, does she believe that everyone in our Generation is just a bunch of stoners with no road ahead of them? If so, then im amazed by that outlook, and now I just want to prove her wrong XD
The only thing I can tell you Sarah is that people look at our generation as a comparison of their generation. The whole "Well back in my day" bullshit. I think what you did is pretty brave. However, from what I already see, isnt it just stirring up an already major Shitstorm? What did your mom say when she got that Text? Im pretty sure it wasn't pretty. |

| no... I just got the speech from her. I was actually relieved when I heard it from her.
"Look, with you I don't want to worry about you when you go out there. It's different for David and Kristin, because with you. You never messed up. All you did was party for like two weeks in Augusta, and that was just four days. Please don't have me worrying about you like I do David and Kristin. I like having a double standard in the family. And yes you may be a prude, but that's because you actually have STANDARDS that your brother and sister didn't live by, meaning that we didn't have to actually raise you. So you did it on your own." |
