| you all heard right. I even admit it. I'm turning into a lil SFC Aquino.
SFC Aquino being my recruiter. I was hoping maybe just maaaybe AKO had a pic of her. Wrong. ANYWAY. So it turns out there's a lot to being a recruiter than I thought and my recruiter wants me to learn. I like my recruiter she makes me test the waters before I swim in them ^____^. So she put my on the clerical side of the job. Where I spent the whole day organizing a closer full of cluster fucked brochures that are mixed together with the "Army Strong" and the "Army of One" themes. So I set it up that all the themes are separated. It turns out that she was right it was an easy detail. So what does she make me do? She makes me go through the old "Leads". Leads are what they mean. People who might join the army. It's a column with the prospective soldiers name and number. I just happened to come across the "Class of '06" binder for Harris County High School. I read through EVERYBODY'S lead details. Some of the people who I would never thought of being rude like hung up on them. What was I supposed to say? It happened in the past. I recognized the handwritings in it. It belonged to two people. One person isn't a recruiter anymore that's Corporal Hamilton and the other was SFC Aquino's. I finally got to mine. There was really nothing to say in it other than "Enlisted in USAR." I saw not interested, hung up, disqualified because of drug test, disqualified because of medical conditions. So on so forth.  There's a lot more to being a recruiter than I thought.
That's what's really funny. Anyway my recruiter set me straight and told me that I needed to get my degree before I do ANY special training so I can get up more easily in the ranks. She said get that cougar list completed and go into CSU while I still can. |
