ooc: I could swear I replied to this, oh well.

ic: Alex's arms were perfectly prepared for such a strike. His arms bent, and he attempt to grab Cairoi's arm, and hurl it upwards. This would not alter any of Cairoi's momentum, but would instead make his strike go up.

Alex kept his hold on Cairoi's fist, squeezed as hard as he could. He then tried to turn his fist, and, if everything went properly, flip Cairoi to the ground, hard.

It felt strange for Alex, strange to be practicing martial arts without the strength of his computer reflexes.

"Tell me," he said. "How strong do you really think you are."

Cairoi wiped the sweat off his brow. The End Sphere had accomplished its desired effect: it ended the fight, or at least it ended the manner it was being fought.

From here on in, in would be a test to determine the best.

Cairoi moved in and threw a hard right hook at Alex's chest, hoping to take the breath out of him. His punches were legendary for their brutality.

(ooc: A long time later, I actually reply!)

ic: Alex was forced to perform a difficult move. He concentrated on himself. Not on any physical part of himself, but simply on him...on his soul...

Suddenly his spirit(soul, or ghost) became seperate from his body. Alex pulled his consciousness from his body, so that he was nothing more than a ghost...A ghost with psychic powers.

As the waves passed through his body, he concentrated on himself, rebuilding his body as they passed through. As soon as it ended, he pulled his soul back into his body, , and regained himself.

"That hurt..." he said. Rebuilding a human body takes a huge amount of willpower and concentration, and him just doing it left him weakened, not physically, but mentally. Suddenly his sword collapsed. He was no longer able to protect it with his psychic powers. He was mostly an ordinary man now, if stronger and faster.

"So now we fight without any of these special tecniques," Alex said. "You'll find that I am skilled psychically, just as much as mentally."

He stood, arms at his sides, ready to move when Cairoi attacked.

"In case you haven't been paying attention, I use Terramorphus only sparingly."

Cairoi dropped from the roof, landing softly in front of Alex, almost 15 ft away. He raised his hand at Alex and pointed it, but nothing happened. At least to the visible eye.

"I constantly challenge myself to be better. Terramorphus, Cross Scars, martial arts, mana control...Everything I use I master, then use only when I feel it needed. Don't give me the speech that you earned your powers and I haven't. For every fight I've had with you, you've used those swords and your psychic powers. The days between our battles, I learn and grow."

Cairoi closed his eyes, and suddenly, he began to erupt with a vast torrential outpour of energy. His eyes glew, and the buildings near them began to collapse, as though fleeing from his might.

"Now, to prove to you I need not these scars nor Terramorphus, by killing you in one brilliant flash."

Cairoi laughed as the buildings blew out next to him and the dust covered the alleyway. He was not encumbered, thanks to his Hawkeye, but it was very possible Alex would not see this next attack coming. Well, frankly, at the attack this attack moved, he wouldn't see it anyway. Cairoi let the attack go without warning, and unless Alex was the fastest man alive, he had little hope of surviving. For the End Sphere is Cairoi's Instant kill move.

Explanation of Technique: (Cairoi uses all of his mental powers, fueled by the energies of his Cross Scar and Terramorphus control to super-power electromagnetic waves in a contained area. In this case, it will be the 10ft around Alex, in all directions. The point of origin releases a torrent of electric energy infused with magical energy powerful enough to rip apart matter in a millisecond. The energy is then absorbed by a barrier of Red Cross Scar energy, which reroutes the energy into the point of origin, continuing the attack for 6 seconds. If one was fast enough to attempt to dodge the waves, which move at the speed of light, the Red Cross Scar barrier would begin to absorb their energy, shattering the orb and causing the energy to fly out at them. Cairoi has perfected the technique so that it does not use up all his energy, but it blows out his Cross Scars, and throws off his link to the planet, thus negating his Terramorphus. It also requires a large store of his energy, tiring him out to the point where he can only fight with his fists and/or swordplay. However, the speed it would take to defend or dodge this technique is beyond almost anyone's ability. Cairoi had invented this technique to kill, and it did its job with an almost guaranteed success rate.)

Alex jumped, but only enough to send his legs above the spikes. In the meantime, he ducked his head low, allowing him to not be impaled by the spikes. He appeared trapped, but he hardly cared.

He looked towards the fire being sent at him, and smiled. Fire wasn't only on earth, and even if it was magic, he could defend against it. He closed his eyes for a brief moment, and concentrated. This fire was strong, and different, but he could handle it.

The fire rushed towards him in it's cone shape, but just before it touched him...it split. I stayed split as it rushed past him, causing Alex no injury from the attack.

He reactivated his sword, protecting it from the still active EMP through his energy controlling abilities. He swung his sword, cutting apart the spikes, and freeing him. Alex glanced at Cairoi's confused expression, and grinned. "Come on, Cairoi, surely you've heard of pyrokenesis. It's controlling fire through psychic abilities."

He looked at Cairoi's eyes, and stoped charging his current attack. He then began charging something else, so that he could launch them both at the same time.

"See, the difference between me and you, Cairoi, is that I earned my powers. I spent years just trying to become as powerful as I am. You, on the other hand, were given your powers by Gaia. You haven't learned the discipline you need to be victorious. I, on the other hand, had to learn for my abilities. I will win simply because I have shown myself to have the most will, the most brute conentration, rather than being given all I need."

Cairoi was rather inconvenienced by the psychic barriers, but the fire was still charged in his hands. Now, the only thing that remained was to enact a skill that always surprised those who never studied his martial arts. Cairoi lept in mid-air to a wall, and bounced off it, landing on the opposing roof. He did not face

"A simple misconception, friend. Terramorphus is not magic, but rather a connection to the earth. It may heed my thought, but it is not I who moves it. A simple reason why Terramorphus is far less strenuous than psychic abilities."

Cairoi threw his left hand out, and suddenly spikes of stone and steel morphed out of the ground and walls surrounding Alex, giving him almost two seconds to react. Spikes, large, small, and odd-shaped flew out haphazardly as fast as possible. If they didn't kill Alex, they'd at least keep him trapped.

"You seriously are never fun to play with. Always calculating and plotting, it's why you've managed to survive this long. "

Cairoi then turned around and used the phosphorus contained in the magic orb to destroy it without contact. However, the anti-electric orb now flowed with the endless loop the magic orb had added to the mixture. He raised his hand at the myriad of spikes, calling up the flames he had attempted to use last turn, fueled even more powerfully with additional fire from this round to make an attack so fierce the density of the flames made it into pure energy, and it would burn through essentially everything in its path. The spikes, the street, Alex, they were all doomed to burn.

"So burn."

He released the attack with vigor, and it began to dissintigrate everything it's large (15ft radius cone attack) reach. Considering he was trapped by spikes and in an alleyway, Alex would truly be hard pressed to dodge the fire that hailed at him at speeds rivaling a missile.

Unfortunately, as had been said before, Alex had created a psychic barrier around the orbs. As Cairoi leapt towards it, it should have thrown him backwards. Unfortunately, this meant that no fire was launched, and Alex hardly needed to defend against it.

Alex shook his head. "So, you do have some abilities beyond magic. I'm interested in learning how you jumped so high..."

Alex continued charging, hoping that Cairoi would find a way to break thourgh the magical barrier. If he didn't...this fight would be frustratingly boring.

Cairoi, after many, many years of strenuous combat, could easily detect when an opponent thought he had the upper hand. As Alex boasted and gloated about not using magic, Cairoi counted his error and prepared to make a leap. The second Alex's hand grew blue, Cairoi lept into the air, far beyond human limits, grabbing a hold of the two orbs he had thrown earlier. He crushed them in his hands, and stayed in mid-air, focusing his now re-released energy. He called upon his rage and from his hand flew a torrential flow of green fire, encomposing the entire alleyway and the buildings beside it. Alex would be burned by the eternal fire that could not be quenched by water or any normal means, and it burned through magic barriers like fire through wood. With the amount launched upon him, there was no hope.

Alex shook his head, he couldn't resist laughing. "Cairoi, you're growing rusty. Allow me to show you why I am your better."

Suddenly a blue bubble appeared around the orbs. Not anything that would stop their affects, but certainly something to stop Cairoi from getting to it.

"You see," Alex said. "I don't use magic..." It was true, Alex was a psychic, mixed with energy control. Neither of them were magic, in fact they were very, very different. Magic required more than pure will with the mind, it required more than simple concentration. It had enchantments, spells, and spoken words for its strength. Energy control and psychic abilities were a high level of concentration, which was very, very different from magic.

He laughed, loudly, and dramatically. Suddenly his hand began to glow blue, indicating that a psiball had flared up. "Time to die."

Suddenly it launched, suddenly splitting into six. All of them would explode in a type of energy. Not a hot energy, not even a cold energy, simply...energy. Fortunately, as magic was now deactivated, Cairoi's cross scars would no longer function.

The psiballs should surround Cairoi, one on each side of him, very close considering the size of this alleyway, one in front, one behind, and one above him. They should explode with devastating force, destroying anything fifty feet around any psiball, with enough strength to kill a human within les than a second.

The launch and Simultaneous explosions should happen just a little more than a second after Alex's hand glows blue, and the orbs move at the speed of thought, the only thing faster than the speed of light, meaning they would be very hard to dodge. Alex would of course survive this because he is in control of them, and can make the force cancel itself when it reaches him, and then continue on behind him.

Alex grinned. "Maybe if you had your magical powers, this wouldn't kill you."

Since Alex forgot beforehand, and regretted it, he began charging an attack.

Cairoi grumbled, his electromagnetic pulse apparently was not going to cut it on its own. Cairoi was far above Alex, so the stabs he sent at him were humorous at best. He examined the small orb in his right hand, the one yet unactivated. A ritual marking was upon it, and it seemed to flow with magic energy. He threw it up high into the air, and it stayed there, and then glowed and released a large force field, visible only to those who could see mana. He then pressed the second, red button on the left orb and threw it up, and it linked onto the levitating right orb, and the two powered. Cairoi leaped off the wall and landed softly in front of Alex, smiling.

"My friend, the second orb negates magic. I've been far and wide, and surely you've heard of energy negation magic. Well, I crudely was able to enchant it into an orb. As long as that orb is activated," Cairoi said, pointing at it, "neither of us will be able to use magick. At the same time, the first orb has built into it a delayed force field effect, creating a second force field that negates electricity. I won't be able to use a large array of my own techniques, but I believe that this is the best way to brawl."

Cairoi smiled, clenching his fist and taking a stance. "Now, now, a match. Man to man, no weapons, no magick. A test to see who REALLY is the strongest."

Alex's grin grew wider.

"Please tell me you're joking," he said. "I control energy. Your electromagnetic pulse won't do anything more than irritate me."

He looked at the puddle which remained of his sword, concentrated, and it reactivated, flying into his hand. "An electromagnetic pulse only lasts for a few seconds," he said. "A little jump start can easily counter it, after its passed. Anyway, now that I know you have the EMP, I am prepared to not let it work on my abilities."

He held the sword again. "Now, perhaps you could show me what your right orb can do."

He stopped grinning, and sent two stabs towards Cairoi, both coming from the side, towards Cairoi's chest, meaning that they'd cross as they stabbed. Also, if there is any object in the way, then for just the time that the swords would encounter it, they will turn into liquid, and simply pass by it, turning into a sharp sword immediatly afterwards.

Cairoi laughed as his rival called upon the nanobot technology his swords were renowned for. With deftness, he took a quick step back, moving slightly to the right. He jumped up to dodge the stab to the feet and placed his hand on the wall, using his Terramorphus to slide himself upward. His feet hit the wall and he slid around, facing Vulkar while planted to the wall. With his free hand, he reached into his pocket and pulled out two strange orbs.

"I've researched your nanobot technology, Alex. Let's see how avid a fist fighter you are, eh?!"

Cairoi focused, and determined the exact magnetic frequency of the nanobots. The left orb shined bright and released an EMP that should disable both the magnetic control and the chip inside Alex's brain that enabled him to control the chips. In case that didn't work, the right orb was Cairoi's method of ensuring these pesky swords wouldn't provide him any trouble. After all, he hadn't brought his sword. He just wanted to make things fair.

Alex caught himself with telekenesis just as Cairoi blocked, keeping him at perfect ballance when he landed on the ground.

As the bricks flew out, Alex smiled. Surely Cairoi wouldn't provide him with both an attack, and a way to block. He pulled with the sword, and with the assistance of telekenesis, flew upward using the sword as leverage, avoiding the spike.

He concentrated on the sword, and the nanobots flowed, making his sword thinner. He pulled, and the sword was released. "Surely you remember that trick," Alex said, for his sword was made out of nanobots, controlled by a mixture of magnets, and a robotic implant, placed in his brain.

"Yeah, maybe next time you could try to be clever," he said. He concentrated, and his sword suddenly became two thinner swords. He moved towards Cairoi, and sent two stabs at Cairoi, who would still have his staff locked into the wall at this point. One stab was aimed for the chest, and the other for the lower torso.

He moved with his other sword, and slashed towards Cairoi's feet.

Cairoi acted quickly. He took his staff and placed one edge on the right wall. It appeared the staff was as long as the alleyway. He slid the one side up quickly, and the friction caused some sparks as it was locked in place and it blocked the slash with enough force to likely throw Alex off balance. Cairoi then launched a spike from the ground directly in front of him out at Alex's abdomen at an angle, and then pointed his hands out at the walls and caused the stone to form pillars and shoot out and push onto both sides of the sword. This would hold Alex's sword in its off balance position while launching a very quick attack at Alex's least defended position.

"I know I can't touch you, because whenever I try you cease to exist!"

Alex smiled. He had a plan for this battle, one which Cairoi would be completely unprepared for...

Alex suddenly jumped to the side, hurling himself at a wall. He bounced against it, sending himself flying at Cairoi, from above. His sword was already drawn, and he held it in two hands as he flew towards Cairoi. Alex attempted to slash downward, sending a powerful and fast strike downward, towards Cairoi's skull.

"Perhaps you shouldn't be so cocky, I at least have earned to right to overconfidence!"

"Haven't you come to grips yet, Alex? You can't touch me."

Cairoi clenched his fist as he said this, addressing his rival. He had medium length brown hair, parted in the middle, and only reaching his chin in the back. He had an attractive face, clear of facial hair, and his green eyes offset his complexion. He wore a plan white T-shirt, a pair of dark blue jeans, and black sneakers. Around his T-shirt he had on a black jacket, with a red cross on the back. He also had on black knuckle gloves, tight and made of a leather-ish substance. In his other hand, he held a staff made of an incredibly hard, magical substance, and his sword was nowhere to be seen.

"Alright, we'll end this now, so I can beat the truth into you."

Lightning flashed. Alex walked forward, his silhouette visible against the streetlight. Lightning flashed again, and Alex face was revealed for no more than a few seconds. It showed the looked of a frustrated and irritated man. He had fought Cairoi many times, heck, he even had Cairoi beat up his home's security system.

Now was the time to finish it. He held his sword, drawn, in his hand. Lightning flashed. He appeared wet, evidence that he had not yet activated his mental armor to protect him from the rain.

The rain was heavy as it flowed through the alleyway. The alleyway was long, but thin. There wouldn't be much room to dodge, and blocking was inevitable.

The city was large, and everyone was in the buildings. Alex didn't plan to hurt him, he timed this fight so that the streets would be empty, and those who looked on would cheer from the windows as he finally defeated his enemy.

"Come, Cairoi. It is time to end this, and determine the better fighter."
