For some reason I could not edit my last post, so now I bring more.
This one, a major one for me, I am shocked that I didn't post last time: "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica And some others: "Galway Shawl" by The Poxy Boggards "For You" by Korn "Forever Yours" by Nightwish "The Girl With Red Hair" by The Poxy Boggards |

I thought of a few more I'd add, but slipped my mind yesterday when I posted this.
I'm just wondering how "Do You Believe in Magic?" is considered one of the greatest love songs of all time. Sure, this is just one list among the millions out there, but seriously? And while I always liked "Happy Together," I always thought it was meant to be more creepy than romantic. Serious additions from my preference: "Leaving on a Jet Plane" Peter, Paul and Mary "All Out of Love" Air Supply (It's cheesy, but WHY isn't it on there?!) "I Melt With You" Modern English "Maybe This Time" from Cabaret "Love Rollercoaster" Red Hot Chilipeppers "Accidentally in Love" Counting Crows "At the Beginning" from Anastasia (I had to sing this in a high school Valentine's Day play and kiss the guy singing it with me at the end. ) Other additions that I have, but probably wouldn't be considered serious: "Classic Rock Song" Stephen Lynch "Fuck Her Gently" Tenacious D "If I Were Gay" Stephen Lynch "My Mary Sweet" Poxy Boggards (Seriously, this one makes me go "AWWWW!!" every time about the ending) Ones I really was amazed weren't on the list. Some I like, but most are over played or just over the top cheesy: "Iris" Goo Goo Dolls "My Heart Will Go On" Celine Dion (UGH!! I despise this song, but really, why didn't it make the list with the others?) "When a Man Loves a Woman" Marvin Gaye "Baby I Love Your Way" Peter Frampton I'm sure there will be more soon when I remember them. |

Throwing this in for all the Valentine's Day folks out there. Yeah, Happy VD.
http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/story/496891p-418804c.html Again with these big lists that someone compiled claiming its the definitive and really coming off like they're just jerking off, figuratively speaking. Originally posted by NY Daily News Feel free to add ANY songs you feel should have been on the list, but were left out for reasons of taste according to some elitist critic. Also, please add the songs you get sappy about with other people. I'm actually very surprised Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love With You" wasn't on the list. Other songs I'd add: (EDIT: These aren't meant for serious adding, I just think they're great and added for my own preference. Obviously most wouldn't know who Poxy Boggards are. ) "Origin of Love" Hedwig and the Angry Inch "Remember Me" Poxy Boggards "Ring of Fire" Johnny Cash "Open Arms" Journey "If I Ever Leave This World Alive" Flogging Molly "Can't Help Falling in Love With You" (Duh!) "Looking for Trade" Shock Treatment soundtrack Ones I'd add because they're better than many of the things on the list: "Truly, Madly, Deeply" Savage Garden "I'm a Believer" The Monkees/Smashmouth "Kiss Me" Sixpence None the Richer |
