Erm...were the 90's really that much of an eyesore?
And I just noticed something. The title is pretty clever... Well, it makes me giggle at least. :p |

Vanilla Ice did eventually give Queen and Bowie writing credits, but after people kicked up enough dust about it. Supposedly it was an out-of-court settlement.
But yeah, it was a pretty big deal. "Under Pressure": EDIT: Since the above is Queen performing it without Bowie, here's a recent concert with Bowie and no Queen (of course with no Freddie Mercury, Queen sounds very different these days with Paul Rodgers: "Ice Ice Baby": Now how close are those baselines lines, among other added elements like that the piano every now and then? Just posting the videos for comparison. |

Mr. T is still cool though.
But Vanilla Ice didn't give any credit to Queen and David Bowie? Was that like a big deal then and did he at least end up crediting them? |

As much as Mr. T rules, Vanilla Ice rocks harder.
So, with that "Ice Ice Baby" I'm gunna re-download it now... (old computer died and Ryan is hogging the harddrive so I can't get my music ) |

I remember being in pre-school or kindergarten when "Ice, Ice Baby" came out and we kids always used to say things that little kids who've only heard rumors but don't know what to make of them say. So it always went around that Vanilla Ice was in jail because he shot some guy in the head.
Same thing with Paul "Pee-wee Herman" Reubens. We always used say that he went to jail for doing his show naked or dancing naked in front of some kids or something wholly ridiculous like that. But back to the songs. It's funny how Vanilla Ice used to say that he didn't have to credit Queen and Bowie when he sampled "Under Pressure" because he claimed he changed the bass line a little. At least Hammer credited Rick James... bitch. Sorry, had to stick that on there. |

**shrugs** I still like these songs. They have nostalgic value to them.
I remember when my sisters would have their friends over. They were teenagers in the 90s when all this was popular, so yeah...and my sister Nicole's one friend used to just grab my hands and dance with me to these song . I was like...Uh...I dunno. Kinda young. :p But yeah. It's great cuz I she was so cool, and she and my sister are still friends and every time she and I hear those song, we randomly start dancing like we did when I was little. I voted "Can't Touch This" cuz I like that one slightly better, but they're both cool. |

I prefer...Fuck. I voted wrong, I thought to vote was for which one sucked more ass. Uhhh, I voted for Ice Ice baby, because I think he should die for trying to steal Under Pressure. |

Both are rip-offs of much better songs.
Now with that said, "Can't Touch This" is better than "Ice Ice Baby," BUT "Under Pressure" is much more ethereal than "Super Freak." |

So, two very "lame" rap(?) songs that everyone has, yet wont admit it . So, which one do you prefer. Even though you don't listen to them... |
