And yes, you can reserve a copy... at least that is what my Borders newsletter tells me. Usually it seems as soon as the title or release date is announced you can put your name down for a copy.

Holy fucking finally, someone watches them in the way people should watch movies based on books.

I myself have only read... Wait... I read?! Anyway, I read the first four Harry Potter books after watching the first movie, then got bored of the whole thing while reading the fifth. So this is something I probably won't be getting.

The movie of the fifth book on the other hand I may go and see, as I'm more of a see moving pictures and sound than try and use my very limited imagination to picture and hear things.
Heck, maybe it will actually seem interesting to me if I see the movie. It might get me back into the books.

Well, yeah. Seven years at Hogwarts + a book for each year = 7 books.

Seriously, they are really stupid. I mean, they were my reading level when they first came out, when I was in like the fourth or fifth grade, but now...

I semi-agree with you on the concept of being "stupid". I never read it but I don't like the idea of going to school to learn magic then suddenly pull out a detective theme going on. If any, an thief could have done it as well.

Lucky, this might be her last book.

Rowling's U.S. publisher, Scholastic Inc., released a brief statement Thursday announcing the name of the world's most anticipated children's book, the finale to her phenomenally popular fantasy series.

No publication date or other details were offered. Rowling is still working on the book, she explained on her Web site in an entry posted early Thursday.

"I'm now writing scenes that have been planned, in some cases, for a dozen years or even more," she wrote. "I don't think anyone who has not been in a similar situation can possibly know how this feels: I am alternately elated and overwrought. I both want, and don't want, to finish this book (don't worry, I will.)"

Meanwhile, she set up a test for her Potter fans.

If you go to jkrowling.com, click on the eraser and you will be taken to a room — you'll see a window, a door and a mirror.

In the mirror, you'll see a hallway. Click on the farthest doorknob and look for the Christmas tree. They click on the center of the door next to the mirror and a wreath appears. Then click on the top of the mirror and you'll see a garland.

Look for a cobweb next to the door. Click on it, and it will disappear. Now, look at the chimes in the window. Click on the second chime to the right, and hold it down. The chime will turn into the key, which opens the door. Click on the wrapped gift behind the door, then click on it again and figure out the title yourself by playing a game of hangman.

Or you can just take Scholastic's word for it: "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."

Well you see Xander...it's because you're a dork and can't enjoy a good book. Kidding, kidding.

Not everyone likes Harry Potter, and that's cool. I'll admit, I didn't jump on it right away cuz I thought it sounded stupid. Got really bored one day when I was in 8th grade, picked up my sisters' copy of the first book and couldn't put it down.

As far as them not being your "reading level"...that's kinda the point. They're supposed to bring you back to the magic of being a child...well, that's what they do for me at least.

*does not give a flying fuck about Harry Potter*

Seriously, they are really stupid. I mean, they were my reading level when they first came out, when I was in like the fourth or fifth grade, but now...

Also, they really aren't that original.

And why were they surprised when Voldemort came back? He almost comes back every year...

I got the same things and even called Elara to tell her. Told my bosses wife already since she is a big Hary Potter fan too. We're gonna start getting things ready to order our copies .

As far as I know, we can't pre-order yet. I'm supposed to get an E-mail when we can, so I'll let y'all know.

As far as the movies...I actually really like them. I don't compare them to the book and just watch them as a separate entity...that and c'mon...Harry's cute!! >.>

Must pre-order now... though I am not sure if I want to see the 5th movie or not anymore. It just irritates me.

I saw that too!

Yay Borders Rewards email!

That is a interesting name, I am guessing it will either come out right before the 5th movie or after. That movie comes out in midsummer.

K, so I check my E-mail, and I'm a Borders Rewards member, and it announces the title to the 7th Harry Potter book.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"
