Sorry, I had hit New Reply after your "Are purses strangely huge..." post and it either delayed or I just took too long with it.
Probably the latter. It's interesting how things can get lost in translation, even with the same langauge. It's all good, though. |

Yeah, as I noted in my last post I made a mistake. I'm British, and I didn''t realise "purse" meant something different in America. :| My bad. |

Depends on your definition of huge. My bag is about a foot wide, 8 or so inches high, and is covered with pockets and compartments (among other things). I go for function before form.
If necessary, I could easily fit a handgun in there. Hell, I accidentally walked into Disneyland with a couple knives that I had forgotten to take out that were resting on the bottom of the bag. The security people didn't look that deep and I didn't even realize they were there until I was going through my bag, looking for something. |

Seems you Yanks call handbags purses. How strange. (Purses are kinda wallet sized round here) |

A colt .45 is only about... I wanna say 8 inches.
And Coach bags are kinda big. :\ I can see it happeneing. Oh, and a Derringer's like 4 inches. And can fit in any opening on your apparel |

Are purses strangely huge across the Atlantic or something, or do we Brits just make oversized handguns/tiny purses? |

Originally posted by Seticus I know it was just a joke, but what kind of gun could you fit inside a wallet or a purse? Anyway, my wallet has a tenner in it, a libary card, a provisional driver's liscense, a card for some bar in Chester one of my brother's friends gave me months ago, my UCAS card, an ID card (I dunno why I need that if I have a provisional driver's liscence, but meh) and like twenty pence too. |

One of my wallets has absolutely nothing in it, while the other one has a Game customers card in it. |
