SK, if you think about it, if Jack Thompson was as smart as you, he'd also realize the apparant fact that games are entertainment, not evil child corrupting devils.

I'm just glad that Jack Thompson isn't as smart as me... If I was truly against video games, I'd put a stop to every EB games in America...

Thank god for Jack not being as smart as me...

Wait, Jackass Thompson didn't die?

I figured he'd have had a heart attack by now. And tried to blame Rockstar for it.

oh god.
I have the full review in one of my game informers. Heres teh real deal with Bully:

Your a child whos been picked on throughout yoru life, so yoru stricking back by pulling pranks. Thats it, pranks. Your not shooting people, your not beating them up, you just do harmless pranks that don't hurt anyone.

On the side of pulling pranks, you go to classes to level up your stats, since the game is a mixture of gameplay, like dodgeball, stealth action, and soforth, as well as your helping girls with their relationship problems by listening and whatnot.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this game sounds more like a realife simulator that strikes home to most kids. Something they can relate too.

Rockstar finally was interviewed, and they laughed by all the critisism. What's happening is, they're being blackballed because they created Hot Coffee. Something that you couldn't even access unless you hacked the stupid game, on the PC. (which was rated 17+ anyway, but parents just HAD to buy it for their 14 year old kids)

So in the meantime, they're using the critisism as plublicity to get their game known, and will likely rocket their sales through the roof, since people are judging the game before the game even was realeased.

As lawyer Jack Thompson continues his mission against video games, it was never clear why he felt the Take Two Interactive/Rockstar Games were required to give him early access to their latest game, Bully. However, he seems to have convinced a Florida judge, who has required that the game be played in its entirety in front of her and Thompson, so they can determine if it violates public nuisance laws. How a video game that is played in private can violate public nuisance laws is not entirely clear -- but apparently the judge will determine that over the next few days. Of course, every single review notes that the game is more social satire/humor than anything really violent -- but Thompson refuses to believe that's possible. However, if Thompson is so convinced that these games inspire people to go shoot up schools, shouldn't we be worried that he'll be inspired by the game to shoot up a school himself?

Well, I hope they get what's coming to them.
