Aux tightened his grip oh his sword.

"As ready as I'll ever be."

As a precaution, he began charging energy into the sword.

"Better. You have most of the basics down. I think we could probably move on to an actual opponent. I will summon a fighter here and you shall fight him. As you two spar, I will comment on your weaknesses and how you should remedy them."

The shadow on the ground quivered for a second before expanding its diameter slightly and moving back several more feet, creating an even greater distance between it and Aux.

"Are you ready?"

Aux slid the large glowing greatsword into the sheath on his back. He held out his hands, palms up, and closed his eyes. He could feel the tickle of a slight breeze along his shaved head. He focused harder, and the winds increased. His cloak flapped in the wind, distracting him. He shrugged his shoulders, and it fell off, fluttering away. Slowly, with much effort, he raised his left hand, and with a great groan, the boulder rose from the ground. Aux opened his eyes, and shot his right hand foreward, lightning arcing from his palm towards the boulder. He sharply pulled his left hand back, releasing his grip on the stone. The stone flew towards him at high velocity. At the last second, he reached up, unsheathed his sword an spun, all in one smooth motion. The stone shattered the moment it came in contact with the purple crystal.

"Impressive, though your technique lacks some texture."

Translation: Your post wasn't bad. However, there are some details in a post that you should keep in mind to include, the next time you fight someone. For example, you should describe your sword. How long is it? What shape does it possess? In fact, you should also spend some time describing your character as a whole. What does he look like? What is he wearing. Finally, your actions could also use a bit of description. How fast did the charged energy travel? How fast did you charge forward? It's stuff like these. Sometimes, including details will save you a lot of frustration later on in battle when an opponent challenges something you did. Also, whenever the opponent doesn't include enough detail, you can use that to your advantage. I'll explain more about that later.

The shards of what was left of the boulder froze midair, as if some higher presence had deemed it so. They dematerialized, as if they never existed in the first place. Suddenly, like the boulder before, another boulder suddenly materialized 20 feet away from Aux, just as big as its predecessor.

"Now, this time, destroy it using only long distance abilities. Do not move from your spot."

Aux opened his eyes and, grasping his sword, slowly stood. he began charging energy in his sword, until the air around it began to shimmer. He took one last deep breath, and charged forward. As he passed the stone, he held his sword out to the side, slicing the rock cleanly in half. He then soared into the air, and fired the charged energy at the stone. The energy crackled around the surface. He threw his palm out, and the stone exploded, shards flying into the distance.

He slowly drifted back to the ground.

"Greetings, Aux Raegh. Now, you wish to remove a spirit from your body? That can easily be done. But before we may proceed to do this, you must first learn to understand yourself."

Translation: Before we can work on your character, we must work on you. Simbattle isn't about techniques. It's about your ability to think and write. If you use words effectively, you will become a formidable foe. So let's take the first step.

A large boulder materalized, exactly 20 feet away from Aux's left side. It was truly an impressive boulder, boasting a length of about 30 feet. Had there been a sun or some type of light source, the boulder would have casted an large shadow over Aux.

"Strike the boulder. Turn it into dust. Concentrate."

Translation: This will be your diagnostic 'test'. Your next post should be a post of you striking at the boulder as if it were your foe. Post as you would normally would in a regular simbattle thread.

Aux kept his eyes closed and answered the shadow,

"I am Aux Raegh, and I seek how to remove a spirit from my body"

The 'white room' could be seen for as far as the eye could see, mortal and immortal. Only one word could describe that 'room': infinity. No matter how far one walked in a certain direction, it would seem as if though he or she would not be able to get anywhere. Knowing all this, it seemed rather unusual that from seemingly nowhere, a shadow formed several feet from Aux, who sat on the 'floor'. It was nothing more than a circular shadow, but a strange aura could be felt from it. Suddenly, a voice came from the shadow, a strong powerful voice that seemed to echo throughout the 'white room'.

"Greetings, stranger. What is it that you seek?"

Aux took a deep breath. He sat cross legged on the floor of the empty white space, his purple sword across his lap. He was waiting for a man who claimed to know how to free him from the mental grasp of Ornlu. He took anouther breath and continued waiting...
