Heh. I really want to play this. The first game was really fun, but it really sucks that I can't ever beat it, mainly because the second disc is basically ruined. However, I have run through the first disc a few times. I usually a party similar to what they were before, which were:

Lenneth(Bow), a fighter, another archer, a mage.
Lenneth(Bow), 2 fighters, a mage.

I think by difference in level, it might have meant difference in elevation. Just sort of taking it out of context. And from that says, I think I might just have to start saving for this game.

Here's both the original Japanese and the translation of the back of the box:

Humans and Gods. The story of them living together.

Two Hereos Living Together As One
The hero of the previous story -- Lenneth's younger sister Battle Maiden Silmeria and Dipan's own very first princess, Alicia.
Co-existing as one body and spirit, beautiful and sad, the story of people and gods interweaving together.

Battle Fields Are In 3D ------ The Winning Strategy
Beating the enemy group leader will win you the battle.
Both the difference in level (?) and the obstacles are in 3D space, having good efficient movement on the field, quickly attacking the leader, thinking about the movement route, spliting into two movement groups being very important.

Using Action Koushi *
When you hit enemy or objects with the koushi, it will temporarily turn into a crystal.
If you shoot the koushi again while in crystal form, you will switch places with it.
This use will help you progress through the dungeons easier.

* There is no real translation for this word, probably made up for the game. However, like VP1, you can shoot a "beam" of sorts to freeze the enemy. You can also do this for objects.

Well, there you go. I did the best I could on the translations, but I had to take some liberties on a few of the words.

I'm interested in this one, since I played the version of the first game on my friend's PSP. The screens and everything look outstanding, and if I knew I wouldn't be short on money, I'd just say I'm buying this when it comes out, but... I'm broke.

I've been pretty excited about this game.

Is it pretty customizable like the first? I love games that give you so many options and paths you could take with characters, you might overwhelmed! (VP, Star Ocean 2, etc). I just dig it.

But yeah, all I can say is from pictures and whatnot ... this looks like it'll be the most visually stunning PS2 game we'll see, up there with Shadow of the Collosus.

Let me just say that this game is pure awesomeness. I received this game last week along with a number of others from YesAsia. Unfortunately, this game isn't coming out for another 2 months (here in America), but it's well worth the wait, let me tell you. When you put the game in at first, watch the opening CG movie, it's about 5 minutes and it tells the story of what's going to happen. The game has 6 chapters in it, but there's a lot to do. The potential for powerful characters is unreal. I believe the game has about 30 characters you can level up. You will get to meet a couple of characters from the first VP -- like Lezard Valeth and Arngrim (Aruze in the Japanese version). The battlegrounds are amazing -- it doesn't get boring at all. The nice thing about the fighting is that you fight most of the bosses again and again. Overall, this game has massive replay value. Anyway, just wanted to give you a little insight as to the awesomeness of this game.

Right now, I am in Chapter 3 with out 12 hours into the game and my characters averaging between 1 and 10. Anyone have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.
