I'm not going to school this semester. I'm trying to save up money so that I can move to Spokane, WA. There's a community college there where I can get an AA in interior design, then transfer to Washington State University for a bachelor's degree, then possibly a masters degree. There's not a decent school in southern California where I can get a high degree, and I have family up there anyhow. Those are my goals, I just need to work my ass off and save all the money I can. |

my classes start today, and my schedule is craptacular! I don't get to eat lunch on Wednesdays! My schedule of classes can be found on my digital portfolio:

Well, while I was working for Disney, I took alot...and I mean alot of Classes at the Disney University.
- Human Physics- (Somewhat like a work-related studygroup. Basicially it was formulas about how weight, levels, angles, and height can all reflect on how the body works. Pretty easy class) - Buisness Economy 101 - Epcot language skills- (Basicially how you greet, name attractions, and saying goodbye in many languages. Helps guest communication who dont speak english. Somewhat of a "10 ways to learn simple languages" Class. ) - American History and its accomplishments - Several math Classes - Social Skills (Had to take this for my speech problem, as well as a required skill when I was promoted to Coordinator ) - Psychology (Thought this was a required take while in High-School...It was more advanced than when I had Mr. Heard back in the day. ) - Coordination of body language. ( DISNEY POINT! ) - Heritage History. Thats about it...Some of them arent exactly fit for actual Universities, but it looks amazing on resumes for Schlorships or future jobs. |

Only going part time to class this time and taking too classes, both counting towards my major of Psychology
- Psy 359 Self-Observation and Self Development - not really a class I want to take, but it fill the requirements - Psy 401 History of Psychology - Really interested in this class. Till now I've been learning all about the theories of Psychology, but now I get to see how it all started. |

**twitches at the words "Bio lab"**
I only have four classes this semester, but if all continues to go well, I'll still have two jobs, so.... English 102 Creative Writing Film Japanese 102 The English is mandatory...Creative Writing is a pre-requisite to this Script Writing course I'm going to take. My film course is just something general. We're pretty much just watching movies and discussing various components of them, touching all sorts of areas, editing, special effects, the way it was written, the way it was done. We meet once a week, but it's a three hour class. Only had it once so far, but I LOVE it. Japanese 102 is the second part of beginners Japanese. As many people who know me well enough can already tell, I want to become a director. (I've also already mentioned that in this thread I think...:p) So yeah, that explains all of the film courses. I'm going to finish up my assiciates degree here at this community college and then just transfer to this other school, which has a fucking OUTSTANDING film program. Even better than the school that I originally intended on attending. The Japanese...I'm taking it for a number of reasons. It's fun. I LOVE the culture and the language is one of the most beautiful languages that I have ever heard. That and I'd like to be a translator if everything else falls through. After looking into is, I found that Japanese-English translators and English-Japanese translators are in pretty high demand (Yes there's a difference between where you put the name of each language. XD) So that about covers the listing of classes and future plans part. :p I also have an internship with a local director this April and it should last until like mid summer? Sometime in July. Nothing big, but hey, it's my first shot at something like this. |

Why yes this is a huge bump, but my post is relevant and also better than starting a new thread.
So it's the winter semester, what are you taking now? My classes: - College Algebra (the last class I need to transfer out) - City Magazine staff class Just need to fill out the paperwork and I should be out. Since my dad's been sick lately, my mom's been turning her attentions to living it up more. Will probably spend some time in Europe in August once I'm done with LBCC. |

I'm worried now, actually. I need to fill the math requirement next semester and I'm hoping I test well on the next assessments.
I can't find my past results and I think it placed me in like math 130 or something. I'm not sure. I took the easiest test they were offering and did all right on it, but from what I hear if you take the hardest test and do mediocre at it, you get placed in the higher classes. I'm hoping that I get it done next semester. Anyone who's transferred over to the CSUs have any advice? |

Originally posted by Katana Seriously, if I find out Public Speaking isn't needed, I'm withdrawing from it. Rogue, that's pretty much what my mom says also, about professors. Well, yeah my mom goes to college too now. She's going back for her pshycology degree, and the scary thing is we're going to the same school. Luckily we go different days. And that was easily the case for my stance on High School also. Biology, just sucked. Our teacher was new, and she really got on our nerves. A year later I take Chemistry, and although I wasn't too great at the class, our teacher rocked. Some days he'd put on Boston (the band) and such while we did homework, and we watched Mythbusters weekly pretty much, and he really knew what he was talking about. Same goes for other courses. English II for my Sophomore class just sucked because of my teacher and how strict she graded. Then last year, I had a football coach for College Prep English IV. Yeah yeah, he was a goof ball, but he still taught us some great stuff, and he made it one of my favorite classes, even though I've always hated English. |

Though I don't condone these things, they are pretty useful.
Rate My Professor You might think all college classes are the same, but most of the time a professor can make or break what you think about a topic. Hell, my chemistry teacher in high school made me change my college major plans from science to liberal arts. I've had some really bad teachers and some great ones. These things are often pretty accurate on what people think of their teachers, but take it with a grain of salt. |

If only you guys lived in Long Beach, I could take you all under my wing when it comes to registration and college bullshit. I've learned how to get around some things and respectably kick and scream 'til I get others.
Seriously though. When it comes to registration, anything and EVERYTHING can go wrong. At LBCC the computer system is ridiculous. You have to figure out how to get around the people who go by it no matter what classes it claims you're in and not. Oh, you guys still need to go through the joys of petitioning classes. Well, I gotta go pay for my classes today, so I won't be back 'til much later. |

I have all evening classes...had to actually take the test, and the admissions department did nothing but give me an attitude...'cept for my personal councilor. He turned out to bea sweetheart. Anywho...yeah... English 101, Economics, and Public Speaking are three mandatory courses for me. I'm still aiming to be a director...or at least something in the film industry/entertainment business...so...I can understand the economics. However, public speaking...I dunno...I decided that I'm going to go into the class without making assumptions until I actually attend the thing. Otherwise, I'd think it was a waste of my time...y'all can ask Xeios if you'd like...I'm odd...shy when it comes to personal things, having one on one conversations, just normal, everyday life...but once I get in front of a crowd of people, I can give a speech, run an assembly...**shrugs** Not shy about that at all...I actually like it...so...I'm hoping that I'll like the course. |
