Originally posted by Dark Luke Heh, like all this crap just washes up all the time in Florida. Florida is like a black hole. Damn, did I hate it there. If there really were things like this out there, I probably wouldn't have hated it so much. OK, enough Florida hate. This is some great taxidermy right here. |

You have to admit. This guy has a clever way of making money off of stupid people. |

All of his items have fabricated descriptions. He tries to make each one have some sort of 'story.' He uses many adjectives and verbs as if it makes the story more legit. How can one guy go about and find all these creatures, yet none of them have been classified or found before? Lame~ |

Hahahahaha!! Well this certainly kills the magic. Found things among the items that he's purchased: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4249&item=250000296252
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=71125&item=7251005064 Although other "sea mysteries" that he was selling: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1468&item=300001031820 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1468&item=9512879856 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1468&item=9525998618 (This one I remember seeing going around in different blogs with people going, "Oh my God! This guy found something we thought was extinct!!!") |

The close up of the face makes it look really fake. The eyes, nose, and mouth look like they like plastic or paint. |

Well that's on ugly mermaid, I'll tell you that. Far from looking like the mermaids of legends that would lure sailors to their watery death. Still, find it rather amusing. |

Admittedly, I wouldn't mind having this thing myself, but biddings over and I can't afford $1,550 just for something to hang on the wall.
I was amused reading over the questions, especially the person who insists it's an alien. Seriously though, that's a lot of work to just leave lying around. Oh well. |

A fear of mermaids... That's unusual.
I found this semi-entertaining. It would be awesome to have a fake dead mermaid, I could like hang it on my wall or something. |

A friend of mine was telling me that she was having nightmares after looking over an auction on eBay. She sent me a link and I must say it is pretty creepy. No nightmares here, though.
Take a look: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300006962914&indexURL=0&photoDisplayType=2#ebayphotohosting I should also mention, said friend is afraid of mermaids. Ariel doesn't count. Apparently she can't get through the slideshow. Oh and he's another one that she showed me: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1468&item=300005222465 |
