Yeah, that's kind of why I made the rule:
"Don't reply to the newbies here, unless you have something good to say. Just don't post anything along the lines like "Hey welcome, etc". (not exactly like that, but yeah) |

Why need introductions at all? Just post. That was it. It was mainly just a way to up the post counts and warn people about my lawn. |

You should edit the forum description to General Discussion so people know where to go to introduce themselves now. |

Truly, I'm surprised you hadn't deleted it sooner. I've jested many times about the lack of intelligent or creative speak in that forum and the high amount of spamming.
Perhaps this should be a global announcement? |

I've seen tons of boards out there without a forum like a Newbie Forum, and finally decided we just don't really need one. It mainly became: "Hey I'm new" "Hey welcome to the board. Read the FAQ. Stay off Lawns. Post and have fun" ---- x 2000. So, in the end we just simply decided we can just have an introduction thread stickied here in general to serve the purpose of the Newbie Forum. If you for some reason want to see some of the old threads there, they were all moved to Game Over. |
