Just wait until you can fight that optional boss on that island (its been years since I've played the game ... can't remember names). I think he was the hardest boss in the game, or maybe that one in the Earth cavern, or something?
Really though, Serge is cooler. But I think Lynx "looks" a lot cooler. Damn is he a bitch though. Serge just looks like some random peasant or something, but with an awesome weapon. You're making me want to play it again myself. Its also a pretty special game to me also. When I first got a Playstation, it wasn't only the first RPG I bought, but the first game. Probably the earliest non-SNES RPG I've ever played. As for my current gaming, I've gone back to play Star Ocean II. You'd probably like it yourself Cairoi.

I just completed the Magical Dreamers quest and about to fight the Black Dragon. This game is like, the opus of my life. I'm going to feel like I'm missing something after I beat it 6 times and get all the endings and characters. 
Funny, I only trouble at weird boss fights. I couldn't kill Miguel because of his mass rapage power. I've come inches away from death in the Water Dragon fight (Can anyone say Lynx with 5 health left, other teammates dead?), and the Hi-Ho tank. I don't know what the fuck happened with the High-Ho Tank, but I ended up with ONE health point left with Serge and 3 stamina points left. I did my strong attack and it was like I was being watched over by an angel. XD I'm never going to outgrow this game. It will always be my favorite game, I don't doubt it. |
