Ehhh.. you took my post all wrong..
What I'm saying is.. I know all of that, I've thought about it long and hard. And at the end of the day, it's not something that would bother me too much. At the end of the day, no matter how many people I've killed. It's just a job to me. |

Then you probably aren't ready for it yet. The armed forces is more than a job, it's defending your country and killing for it. Seeing as how a very large percentage of the people in the world can joke about killing someone, but if they were told to they wouldn't mentally be able to live through it, it will be daunting. I still say, weight all your options and make sure this is the best possible choice. |

I can't honestly approve of doing anything in the military, but I can approve of you doing what you think your meant for. So, if this is really what you want to do, I have no problems, if you are doubtful in any way, then I strongly suggest you avoid this at all costs until you are positive. |

Jin...sorry, but I'm gonna be a bit of a nag here. :p Now, this is your personal life, so perhaps you didn't give much details on why because they're too personal...but judging from what I've seen...(The military is like infested with my family, all branches too, so yeah... ) you can't go into the military 'just because'. If you decide to go along with it, then please, do so for your own personal reasons and nothing else. Otherwise, you won't be happy...and won't do as well as you could, ya know?

Jin, why not apply for a computer engineer-like position? Your talents lie there and you'd still be helping the war front.

well, you gotta be more detailed about why you're joining. you can't simply make a thread, and not really give us the meat of everything. simply because all the things you thought were preventing you from joining no longer applies is not real details.
like... were you ever interested in the military or anything like that? or are you just joining because you feel that you've nothing better to do? |

So um, I'm giving though to enlisting in the army.. like.. serious thought...
Everything I once thought that would keep me from joining no longer really applies, I have no obligations to my friends, family or otherwise. I'm not bothered by the fact the war is evil/wrong. It'll still happen wether I'm involved or not, might as well join up. I hope I can time everything up to be out of here when I turn 18. :/ |
