 | This is just sick. I'm surprised that Hillary Clinton hasn't sued her yet to be honest... but seriously, using children?! What the hell is wrong with this country? Let kids form their own ideas, don't force shit on them in the guise of a children's book.
I swear, the stereotypes that have evolved for liberals and conservatives (I now loath both of those terms by the way) are just as bad and overexaggerated as racist stereotypes of the last century.

...Seriously, how will that benefit...and why is she selling an open name title on E-bay instead of like the author's website? Then again...you can find just about anything on E-bay....

 | Before Trigger Happy rants, I would like to be clear that children's books should never be used as a political medium. It's wrong on both wings and it takes advantage of the kid's ignorance. They should wait till middle school before starting that crap.
But it's not like conservatives are doing this alone. Somebody had recently published a childrens book called "Why mommy is a Democrat". So I ain't just us ( I'm Liberitarian ).

This kind of crap makes us look bad. It's immature, like two girls spreading rumors about each other and despicable. So, I condemn not just this book, but any children's books of a politically persuading nature.

 | Look, I realize this post is going to be small, and that's hopefully understood.
I looked at this article. I weeped inside. I imagined the author rotting in wherever bad we go after death for using children for political purposes.

And then I finished. The end.

 | My paper constantly gets random and useless press releases, but this one also got forwarded to my own mailbox and I figured I'd share it.

HILLARY IS GOING TO JAIL, AND CHARITY WILL BENEFIT

Winning bidder of charity auction will be turned into a cartoon hero who
apprehends liberal villain Hillary in an upcoming kid's book. Proceeds from the
eBay auction will benefit a charity supporting U.S. soldiers. A chance to become
a role model for kids across the country.

Los Angeles, CA - All signs indicate that a liberal politician from Congress
named Hillary might be going to jail, and charity is going to benefit. But it
may not be the Hillary that you think.

Hillary Clunkton, the fictional cartoon villain from the children's books "Help!
Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed" (Kids Ahead; hardcover; ISBN 0976726904)
and "Help! Mom! Hollywood's in My Hamper" (Kids Ahead; hardcover: $15.95; ISBN
0976726912), will get her comeuppance later this year in an upcoming "Help!
Mom!" book by author Katharine DeBrecht. And the hero who apprehends the
tax-and-spend liberal in the kid's book will be the real-life winner of a
charity auction that is currently open for bids on eBay.

The high bidder of the auction will be caricatured by Reuben Award-winning
artist Jim Hummel and written into DeBrecht's upcoming illustrated children's
book--which will be published by Kids Ahead and sold in bookstores nationwide in
late-2006--as the hero who finally gives Hillary what she deserves for being
bossy and constantly trying to tell families what to do.

All proceeds from the eBay auction will go to benefit Operation Gratitude, a
charity that sends care packages to U.S. troops stationed overseas.

"I can't publicly reveal what the cause of Congresswoman Hillary Clunkton's
downfall will be," says DeBrecht, whose first book featured the Hillary Clinton
look-alike joining with a Ted Kennedy doppelganger to tax and regulate a
lemonade stand. "Maybe she'll be sent to detention for demanding that kids hand
over their lunch money as campaign donations. Or perhaps she'll be sent up the
river for trying to snatch gifts from Santa's sleigh for an affirmative action
program for naughty kids. You just never know what a liberal like Hillary is
 going to do next!"

DeBrecht's conservative children's books have been warmly received by families
who support traditional values since her first title debuted last fall.
"Liberals Under My Bed" hit #1 on the Barnes & Noble website while drawing
praise from Rush Limbaugh and scorn from liberals, including Alan Colmes, Ron
Reagan, Andrew Sullivan, the Daily Kos blog, and Hillary Clinton's press
secretary. Her new book, "Hollywood's in My Hamper," lampoons left-wing
celebrities such as Madonna, Barbra Streisand, and Sean Penn, while teaching
children that Hollywood stars don't always know best.

"Liberals have been targeting children in their war on traditional values for
years," says DeBrecht, a mother of three. "Since they can't persuade adult
voters to abandon personal responsibility and embrace the welfare state, they
have instead chosen to flood our classrooms and libraries with books about gay
kings, socialist fish, and even marijuana use. It's time to put a stop to
it--and ironically Hillary is going to help us do just that!"

The charity auction--which is titled "Star in a Kid's Book & Send Hillary to
Jail"--will be accepting bids on eBay from now until April 6. The winning
bidder, who will be immortalized as a sure-to-be-legendary children's hero, will
also receive an autographed copy of the illustration depicting him or her
 apprehending Hillary.
