*Seras Victoria forgot about this thread.
Xeo: I didn't mind playing in front of anyone since Christmas. Played in front of one of my friends since forever. I've been taking lessons since the end of September '05. On another note, I not sure if I should post a MIDI preview of what I've wrote awhile ago, or if I should wait until I've done it on guitar*. *That's in a while |

How long did it take you to get decent? Like, to where it wouldn't be embarassing to play in front of people? Did you take lessons?
I've been considering taking up lessons recently. My dad just gave me one of his guitars, and a small amp. I'll have to take a picture (basic electric guitar, but yeah ...). He's shown me the very basics, how to read notes, strings, frets, power chords, etc and simple stuff like that. But I still really don't know what I'm doing. As for the music, wow. Pretty good, and just more stuff to inspire me to play ... or try to. If I do end up liking playing the guitar, and get serious with it, I'd love to have one like Kai Hansen's: Blah. I don't care for solid Flying V's very much, but like a half V guitar like that looks awesome. Guitars like that are also totally awesome. (Glenn Tipton, a la Judas Priest) Wish I knew the names. |

You are quite skilled there with the guitar, Mr. Dark Slaya. You definately have good finger control and deftness, and you're sound is very Metallica-like.
However, that isn't really anything song worthy. Improvisionational-wise, I'd work a few more fingertabs here and there and the E string and try to keep things interesting for the listener. There's no denying that you're good, but you got to stay flashy to catch your audience. ^.^ |

Drums I could generate with a good program.
Vocals.... well if I sang, alot of people would die. |

If only you had some one beating on the drums and some vocals, this would make a nice song. lol
I liked it, keep it up. Random 2 cents: It sounds to me like Tool, but lighter. Very cool |

That didn't sound as bad as you described it to be Darkslaya. It sounds like you're immitating the very early days of Metallica |

So, a week and a half ago, I got a new guitar. Had some fun with it.
The Product (192kbps VBR MP3 File - 4970kb/4:15) (sorry about RapidShare, I don't have anywhere to host my stuff). Non-RapidShare Link Note that nothing is really serious, and that it's mostly a raw product ('cept for guitar 2). The third guitar was just for fun. First guitar is the 'solo' guitar (Lead). Second is the riff during the 'solo'. Third is the distortion guitar that begins at 2:41. The quality isn't that great and stuff. My hammer-ons with Lead Guitar aren't that great (not hard enough). Also, the second part of the song is really random, and I don't like it much. But hey, it's improvisation. That doesn't make any difference, but I've been playing for 6 months now. Thoughts? |
