I got a few bootleg songs. Lesse... I got Weird Al which one of them that I found were VERY VERY funny and unexpecting. I got a SoaD song. I have one or two... maybe three RATM songs... and I can't remember anymore. I'll have to go through LimeWire and find some more.

About 70 Metallica audio bootlegs, 15 CoB audio bootlegs, 5 Helloween audio bootlegs, 2 Edguy audio bootlegs, 60 Metallica DVD Bootlegs, 5 Helloween DVD Bootlegs. The list goes on.

I'm supposed to get a few Gamma Ray DVD bootlegs in a while.

And DarkSlaya speaks the truth, trust me I've seen some.

I recently saw a DVD-R bootleg of all of Helloween's songs, every album in mp3 format for $15 I think. I was interested in getting it, I doupt I'd buy all of their albums, but I wouldn't mind hearing them if I had the songs.

I myself have been looking around for bootlegs, especially for Gamma Ray and Helloween.

I'd love to get my hands on Hansen Worx, something I've heard about that has multiple Helloween - Gamma Ray songs on it redone, with Kai Hansen.

I'm having horrible luck finding this stuff though.

Thats why his stuff is called bootlegs, cause they were all originally recorded by either the places he's played at without his knowing (or he did know and didn't mind) or by himself but never chose thought of putting them on record (a 1960 recording of a song in a Minneapolis hotel technically isn't a live show).

His first 1-6 are actually bootlegs, he bought the rights to them and decided to sell them, which I think was a good idea, since they're all the best things I've ever heard from him. But, number seven isn't really a bootleg per se, its got some recordings that were on TV, on record, other things. It's sorta... bootleggyish... but more of a soundtrack to his documentary No Direction Home. He's kinda got a serires thing going, where he calls certain albums bootlegs. Dunno why. They are all mostly live shows, but he calls them bootlegs. Now that you mention it... I dunno why they're called bootlegs still... he's got live albums, and then bootlegs...

Anyways, those are the only ones I've heard. I haven't heard any from anybody else.

ICP -- Anything from Psychopathic records

Duh

They are all the time making bootleg CD's to make them look better ( all of their underground stuff actually sounds better for the fact that they steal other band's beats and make it sound great!)

Lets see...

Korn used to do it back in the day...if I recall, in 1994 he stopped doing it for copyright reasons...

Hmm...

I used to know alot because my homie Sixx told me about a BUNCH of bands that would make bootleg things....But my tastes went to Metal than Rap now...

Well, im listening to Rap right now...yeeeeeah Soopa Villinz

uh.... hmm....

waaa? wait a min, bootleg isn't just something that's recorded without the consent of the artist, but also distributed/sold without consent. if bob is putting'em out, then it's not bootleg? but then again, it could've started out as bootleg, but then he bought the rights for it or something O.o;

anyways, i think you're talking about "live-concerts" and things like that.

i think a lot of "bands" do put those out. they're called live-concert Cds =/

Yeah, music bootlegs. The albums that were recorded without consent of the artist, but generally help more than they hurt. Who know's of any bands that put out good bootlegs?

I haven't heard many by other people but the best bootlegs from anyone I've heard so far have got to be from Bob Dylan. He's got five (technically seven, but one is three bootlegs in one with 53 songs on it) albums considered bootlegs, three of which are live shows, the others just rare recordings/unreleased material. I've got two of the live show albums, 1966, probably the most famous bootleg from anyone, where he played a rock show in England when he was expected to play folk, and 1977 where he teamed up with numerous other singers he met on streetcorners... plus Joan Baez... and went on a bitchin tour in the northeast. He dressed sort of like a rodeo clown AND made a movie.

But, those are the only ones I've really heard. Does any other band put out any good bootlegs?
