When I was working at the waffle house the first few days, everyone picked on me because I had to dress nice as a "Greeter". Then about 4 weeks later, I grown with my fellow employees and learned alot from them...theyre also jealous of me because I was the only one working there with his teeth intact...

Sure alot of people picked on me with women, the guys there would tell me "Would you like to bone her this...and that...blah blah blah..." It got seriously annoying...

and then there were the southern people who worked there. One of the cooks kept wanting me to burrow his country CD's after I told him I listen to Black Metal and the works...He also wanted me to say things his way up untill the point to where I just told him that I diddnt want to hear it....

But yeah, Xeo, thats called Bonding. And unfortunately wheather we like it or not we have to do that with our employees...Which to me it sounds like you bonded quite well...

Yeah I bonded with my co-workers...I found out that my two bosses play WoW and Starcraft on battle.net, so now I play with them even though I told them I had to quit my job...its quite hilarious.

But yeah, just stay on their good side Xeo and things may progress a greater path than you expected...

I can totally relate, Xeo.

For those of you who don't know, I play basketball at a pretty high level. My teammates the most ghetto people you'll ever meet. (not judging them) I am by no means saying that I am better than them. We are sophisticated in our own ways, but we are from totally seperate worlds, and actually relate really well.

I think i can explain this. I don't think it's the "people" that are stopping you from hanging out. It's the "situation." Just look at it this way. You have one common ground, me with basketball, and Xeo with work, and you've discovered you can actually get along with these people and like them.

Yeah, I've been known to do that as well... or sometimes they are kinda simular to me in certain ways but otherwise SO different from my friends!

Then again, me and WhiteRose were the high school nerds who could have intelligent and funny conversations with the quaterback of the football team and even decent joking fun with the gang bangers, the druggies, the bimbo sluts. Then go up to the Science Club after school for a D&D game.

I think it's cool that you can hand out and even considere people so different from you as friends. It shows you have an open mind and that is really hard to find now a days.

I've been in situations like that. I have my usual group of friends I hang out with and then I'll make friends with people from my classes that are different from me in so many ways, yet a get along with them really well.

Honestly, I wish more people were like that, getting alont with people different from themselves. Would make the world a little nicer to live in.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and just thought I'd discuss this ironic stuff.

The people I hang out with at work, my fellow employee's are probably the last people I'd hang out with school. But I like these people. It doesn't matter that they're talking about nothing but getting drunk over the weekend, driving up with rap blazing with their "awesome speakers", and wearing "impressive" clothes like Polo, and so on, I think they're great people.

People tease me at work, and I tease them. I'm the quieter person at work, but everyone respects me, cracks jokes with and at me, and we're all just a good group of friends.

I mean yeah, during long hours I just can't stand some of the employee's, but overall these guys at Jiffy Lube have really rubbed off on me, and the few of them that I really like are almost the reason why I care to stick around that place.

And they're not gamers. They all listen to rap and don't even know what Power Metal is. They talk about nothing but cars. They probably don't even know what anime is.

But, we're still all cool.

It's like I'm at an entirely different world when I'm hanging out with them, then with my friends.

I mean I'm not trying to be judging, and maybe even hypocritical, but I just know for a fact that if I went to school with the same people I work with, the chances that we'd hang out as friends would probably be like %10. I don't know, I just think it's kind of weird and funny.

Discuss ... I guess?

Don't ask, I just felt like posting this I guess. Maybe someone else can relate?
