The Go-gos are awesome. "Vacation" and "Our Lips Are Sealed" rock!
Kitty...I dun think I ever heard of them...that reminds me though! I did hear of this band called Atomic Kitten...Only heard one song of their's and it was a while ago, but I really liked it.  |

The go-gos. Did someone say them already? The Cramps, they were pretty good. My favorite would have to be Kitty. Lacuna Coil kicks ass too.. |

Go Betty Go is kind of like NoFX only with chicks. She sings in spanish in some of there songs. The band is a total chick band and the bassist rocks =P. They're okay just they kind of switch styles and stuff. Really strange. They were at The Warped Tour last year too. They sung on the Vulcom stage. |

There was No Doubt,.....and there was Garbage, ......can't think of many others, most nowadays are pop punk and only listenable for so long. There's several upcoming ska bands that have women singers though. MSI's bass player and drummer are girls. I personally like unusually high male vocals to a woman's voice, though I'm sure many chick bands have done coheed and cambria covers. Also, there's a few hardcore/'metal' bands that have women on vocals, but screaming instead of singing, which I hate in general. Otep is a more famous one of them. |

Meh, the Nightwish thread made me think about this.
Anywho...has anyone else heard of any chick bands and really like any? My interest in them started with Evanescence, and while I still think they're cool, I've found a few that I like better. I'd have to say that Lacuna Coil is my absolute favorite though. Thank Spyware for getting me into them. :p They're really the only two bands that I've really heard a lot of their stuff. Then there's Nightwish, Garbage, and a few others, but I've only gotten around to hearing a song or two of all the others. So yeah...anyone else think they kick ass? 'Course most of them aren't an ALL girl band, but the vocalists are usually chicks at least. They don't have to be of any specific genre either. Just let us know who you like and who you've heard of. I for one find it a bit more difficult to search for this stuff than dude bands. :p |
