Read the books Saijin. Trust me.
I suppose that they are continuing the movies because, like the books, you have to finish a series... and then there is the money aspect. At least they aren't arguing about the 7th movie yet... that is when it's gone too far. |

*Has never read the books but likes the movies *
I actually think that the Harry potter movies get better and better...Though I hate to argue Rogue, The people who make the movies are getting a great bundle of money in making these movies...(MOSTLY) Everyone likes Harry Potter ^^ ;;; u.u ;;;; *Sigh* |

*bump*
Just heard they're putting in production the 5th installment, Order of the Pheonix, to come out in '07. OK, this has to stop. Flaying out the books, then immediately fleshing out a script is getting insane. More annoyingly, there's already battles over who's to play who in the SIXTH movie. Can't we just leave these as the innocent children's books that they are? I mean, it's getting to the point of why bother reading books if in a few years a movie will already be made based off of them? I know that the Harry Potter phenomenon was one thing, that made a lot of people a lot of money, and made otherwise mediocre kids paparazzi bait, but can't this just end now? |

I haven't yet, either. One of my friends saw it and he said it was really awesome, but he's a die-hard fan of the HP series (books and movies). So I dunno. I still want to see it, but I'm not sure when. |

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'd like to. So far I've been hearing mixed reviews about the movie too, and I've also heard a lot of what Elara just said too. So I'm interested on seeing Rita Skeeter myself .

I was disappointed in it. I knew that they were going to cut out half the book, but the changes they made and certain important things that they cut out just annoyed me. That, and Emma Watson's acting hasn't improved since the first movie and it's starting to get annoying as well.
On the other hand, the special effects were awesome... especially the Dark Lord. Great casting for Rita Skeeter, you just want to hate her SO bad! |

I haven't seen it. I'm avoiding it for the most part, though I know I'll eventually have to cave seeing as a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away I used to be a HUGE fan. However, I fell off of that bandwagon for multiple reasons.
I keep getting a lot of mixed reviews from friends. Most have averaged about "okay", but nothing that's made me want to come running to the nearest cinema. Your thoughts? |
