Being a chronic asmathatic, the last thing I want is to fuck up my lungs anymore. So yeah, smoking is a no-no to me, even though I could (potentially) legally buy them if I want.
Yeah, in the UK, legal smoking age is 16.  |

I'll smoke a cigar, and that's about it. Although, I have smoked cigarettes, but only like a cigar- I never ever inhale. I do it because for some reason it's sometimes fun just to blow out the smoke and try to do tricks with it coming out of my mouth. Although to date I haven't done any. Don't worry guys, your Cyro Xero is a non-smoker.

My parents used to smoke a lot when I was little, and it messed with my lungs badly. I think I might have a second hand addiction, since I periodically crave the damn things! Got both parents to quit for good when I was in first grade though, because of my coughing.
Now if only I could get my boyfriend to stop... fat chance. |

Interesting way to look at it, Xeios.
I was recently talking with someone who smoked a carton a week, back when cartons were like $27 each. Him and his wife decided to quit at the same time. THey took the money they had been using to buy cigarettes and put it in a sock. $2,808 a year. (52 weeks in a year, right?) They used that money to go to the Caribbean, Mexico, Alaska, and to Europe multiple times.  That's what I'm talking about!
Plus, he owns a house overlooking the San Francisco bay, two jet skis, a boat, really nice cars, etc...  
THAT'S why I will never smoke. Because I wanna travel. Just money you could use elsewhere, ya know? |

Okay, this is what I notice when people come in a buy cigarettes:
(1) If that is all that they are buying, sometimes they'll pay completely in loose change, scrounging around for that dime or quarter that they might need to complete the sale. So instead of buying the essential things (like food), they buy cigarettes. (2) People who have had one lung, their voicebox removed, or even breathing off of an oxygen tank, they still buy cigarettes. I would think having those things happen to them would send a clear message that maybe smoking is not good for them. (3) No matter how much a pack or carton of cigarettes may be, people don't care -- they'll buy them anyway. I've seen people pay $40 and up for a carton of cigarettes. There's quite a bit of food I can buy for $40 and feel quite a bit better after it. And no, I don't smoke. |

I do not smoke, actually I dislike the habit. I don't hate people who smoke, I just dislike it when people smoke around me. Because for a while I had an affinity to the smell. |

Don't worry, Belial, it confused me too.
I thnk multi-voting is enabled because of the last option. People can vote for "not cigarettes" and if they actually do smoke cigarettes or not as well as whatever substance they voted for by chosing the last option. Anyway, yah. Agreed with Xeo that I'd rather die healthy and in my sleep. Fat chance of that one, huh? |

I'm kind of in Tamarin's situation. I grew up with parents smoking a ton, but eventually my dad quit and hasn't smoked for years and years, but my mom still does.
It was pretty bad back then, I wouldn't be surprised if I have a minor influence of second hand smoke in me, but whatever. Because of that, and because of what I've seen what it can do to your lungs, and because I could careless to dish out the insane amount of cash it costs to buy them just to burn my lungs away, I don't plan on ever doing it. Everybody does it at my work, except for me and one other guy. It seems pretty common, even for people my age and younger. Legally, since I'm 18 now I COULD buy them, again, but why? |

Anyway...I don't smoke. Don't plan on it either. In my opinion, it's one of the stupidest things people could do...next to drinking and driving...streaking...and...all that jazz. Smoking is basically equivelant to suicide. Each time you light a cig, you're saying "I hate my life. Therefore, I'll just kill my self...slowly." Mmmm...sounds like my kind of fun. =P |

Dude, if you're 17, it's illegal to buy them, man, not smoke them. I smoke. Everyday after school, I'll have 1-2 cigs in my friend's car on the way home. It calms my bipolar self down. If I'm hanging out with my friends for a while, and no one else is home, I'll smoke quite a bit. I'm not addicted, though, which is cool. I don't get nic fits, so that's one piece of good news. I'unno. I don't like the thought of being in a nuirsing home at the age of 90, stricken with Alsheimers and drooling on myself, not knowing my own name. |
