In fact, i'm ranting about how people can't do things themselves, I mean. Layouts, you don't need them, so if you want one, make it yourself. Don't go around saying, "OMFG I AM TEH STUPID ND CANT DU HTML COZ I R DUMB". Take the extra 20 minutes out of your "Ask someone for help" convention and get some actual knowledge on the subject. HTML is not the hardest thing in the world. If you think it is, give Quantum Physics a go....

Another thing about layouts is that they are very, very, very, (I could go on like this for a while but, I don't want to give my keyboard strain) VERY poorly designed, here are my 5 simple rules for layout making.
-Don't put in quotes or songs. It's just more stuff i'm never going to read.
-No scrollbars. I don't want to see a scroll bar because a quote is too long when the post is 5 characters.
-Make it look half decent. Bad tables is just an eyesore, another reason why I wont read your posts.
-Text. No large text, no small text, no color changing text, no size changing text, 12pt Verdana with white text on a black background is perfect.
-No heavy pictures. Do NOT, I repeat do NOT, put excessive amounts of GIFs in or put in a background thats a BMP and takes 40+ years to download.

If your layout breaks one of these rules, do not make a layout, throw it out, delete the code until it fits these rules. If your layout breaks one of these rules, I will simple not read your posts.

Rant 2: Crime Shows
Why are there 50+ crime shows?

Sure these were great the first maybe 20 episodes, but they got really old, really fast. I donā€™t know what Hollywood is thinking because crime shows arenā€™t any good. Let me sum up a crime show for youā€¦
-Murder.
-Team gets notified.
-Team wonders for about half an hour.
-Team gets DNA.
-Murderer caught.
Wow, huge amounts of variety there. I think the best thing they made up was identical twins. Same DNA, they pick one and itā€™s over, and would you look at that they picked the right one. How did they know that? Itā€™s called acting.
	Another useless thing about crime shows is that they have so many variations. CSI, CSI: Miami, CSI: NY. Not to mentionā€¦ Law & Order, L&O: Criminal Intent, L&O: SVU and the latest, L&O: Trial by Jury. When will it ever end!? I have enough stuff to ignore, stop handing me more. We need more shows like Scrubs and Arrested Development, no sitcoms, just comedy without the added laughs.

Rant 3: Indentation
Coding should be clean, not just jumbles of letters.

When one is coding, you might use a certain song to code to, just to get you into a rhythm. But some rhythms can be bad, like no indentation! Sure if youā€™re the only person reading the code, then go ahead donā€™t indent the crap out of it. But if youā€™re working on a project with friends or co-workers, use indentation! I donā€™t care if you can read it. Make sure other people can read it. None of this one line for a table, tables should be separated and look neat. That way people other than you can read it.
	Another reason is how it looks more professional indented. If you want to make a professional project, why not use professional ways of coding. Be gone with the ways of the one line amateurs. Step up to the challenges of indenting, become a man (or woman) in good decent coding structures!

I agree on the coding thing. I don't know how to do it, but when you look at it, indents make it easier to read.

I don't mean to target anyone here or be mean but with all these quotes and songs AND quiz results.. seriously wouldn't it be better in your bio little quotes are fine, especially if you have a scroll bar layout. I know I have a scroll bar layout.. but I don't put quotes or songs or quiz results in my signature.. or header And crime shows.. well I believe there is way too many of them on tv, I don't mind watching NCIS or Cold Case, they are my favourites but the rest.. I just don't watch.

Both are valid arguments, but probably better suited apart and in different places. In keeping with the topic, there are definitely too many freakin' crime shows. As I was reading which shows have had their contracts cancelled or renewed for next season. There were 3 different Law & Orders and 3 different CSIs that all were having their contracts renewed. Not to mention all of those ones that I've never watched and have only heard of once in a while... Cold Case, Third Watch, etc.

Ponterious, I may not approve of thy 1stest rant, but thy Seconded rantifus, I can agree with. I only like Without A Trace. All the others only have small redeeming qualities. In fact, the only reasons I like WAT is cause they use a timeline and not DNA. Did you hear more criminals are running in the street more rapidly due to juries thinking more evidence like on these shows are nessecary. I say, Smite 'Em.

You cant use that excuse, Dekkar Nocturnal found a way that it can be done in FireFox. I use firefox as well so I have seen it being used. And Spyware, If rules are meant to be bent then why exactly are they there. You arnt supposed to break the rules. Lets say ill go and commit murder. i confess, and the police officer goes Oh ok the rules are meant to be broken sometime. It just doesnt happen rules are there to be enforced not to be broken.
Spyware Posts: 288/720	Good point elara. About the firefox problem. You see syntax, you cant just have a set of rules set in stone and have it ALWAYS be that way, every rule has to be bent sometime.

I know it needs a box there to make it darker, but I need to do it a certain way since I use Firefox and would still like the black box to be transparent so the whole image can still be seen... and I don't have photoshop, so I can't do it.
