Yeah, I guess that is a vailid point. They shall just be a bit confused reading the comments until they see the mention of the new rants being posted. Or something like that.
I agree on the coding thing. I don't know how to do it, but when you look at it, indents make it easier to read. |

I like all my rants in one place, saves people jumping through the thread to see more than one rant. |
Elara Posts: 1304/9736 |
You know, it would be easier if you just posted new rants in a new post so you don't have to edit the first one again and again. |

Feel the wrath of rant #3! |

I have to agree with you, Ponterios, about the layouts. I don't mean to target anyone here or be mean but with all these quotes and songs AND quiz results.. seriously wouldn't it be better in your bio little quotes are fine, especially if you have a scroll bar layout. I know I have a scroll bar layout.. but I don't put quotes or songs or quiz results in my signature.. or header
And crime shows.. well I believe there is way too many of them on tv, I don't mind watching NCIS or Cold Case, they are my favourites but the rest.. I just don't watch. |

No I just wanted a place to rant, i was starting one in the General Chat forum, that got closed. I made a thread in help suggestions for a ranting forum, that was closed. i talked to Xeo and he said put it here. |

Well, he said in his first post that Xeogred told him to post his rants here, and because they are his rants, whatever the cause, and apply to what is going on to him.

He probably didn't think there'd be much of a response, so he didn't feel a need to post two different threads. Both are just guesses, mind you. |

OK, here's a question. Why isn't this in help and suggestions and why are these "rants" jumbled together?
Both are valid arguments, but probably better suited apart and in different places. In keeping with the topic, there are definitely too many freakin' crime shows. As I was reading which shows have had their contracts cancelled or renewed for next season. There were 3 different Law & Orders and 3 different CSIs that all were having their contracts renewed. Not to mention all of those ones that I've never watched and have only heard of once in a while... Cold Case, Third Watch, etc. |

layouts are lame and overrated....
and people that want them suck even more if you can't make it on your own you don't deserve it.... |

Taramin, there are delicate ears listening to these conversations and they are probably offended by...
Small Child: Excuse me sir, but do you have any fo- CairoiHUT Up, GODAMN KID! *smites* Arumm... Where was I? Ponterious, I may not approve of thy 1stest rant, but thy Seconded rantifus, I can agree with. I only like Without A Trace. All the others only have small redeeming qualities. In fact, the only reasons I like WAT is cause they use a timeline and not DNA. Did you hear more criminals are running in the street more rapidly due to juries thinking more evidence like on these shows are nessecary. I say, Smite 'Em. |

My Reply to Rant 1:
I do agree about scrollbars, but most people with scrollbar layouts here either have such short posts that the scrollbar only cuts off their insanely long signature, have a big enough text area that the scrollbar isn't a problem, or write posts that I just skip over anyway. And if you absofuckinglutely HAVE to have an entire song in your fucking signature, TURN THE FUCKING FONT SIZE DOWN, DAMN IT! In fact, that should be done with most text signatures longer than one line. For those who don't know, it's font size=# (or is it ="#"?), inside those angle bracket thingies. Default is 3, custom titles are 1, my sig is 2. Also, if someone offers to make a layout, what's wrong with asking him or her to do so? My layout got its start that way, so long ago... and it hasn't changed much since. Just a new background and a few color changes. Edits: Just being a grammar nazi. |

That is CSS though, will that work with HTML? Like I said, I'm not good with this stuff. |

I have nothing to say, but this thread is funny if you don't look at it seriously.
Elara, I recently found a way to define transparancy in FF myself, here. It would be: -moz-opacity:0.5; I'm guessing the 3rd opacity tag is for |

Lets say ill go and commit murder. i confess, and the police officer goes Oh ok the rules are meant to be broken sometime. It just doesnt happen rules are there to be enforced not to be broken. |

Good point elara. About the firefox problem.
You see syntax, you cant just have a set of rules set in stone and have it ALWAYS be that way, every rule has to be bent sometime. |
Elara Posts: 1230/9736 |
Oh we do enforce them.
And I am one of the people that doesn't know html. I know it needs a box there to make it darker, but I need to do it a certain way since I use Firefox and would still like the black box to be transparent so the whole image can still be seen... and I don't have photoshop, so I can't do it. |

Then you might as well delete the FAQ, seeing as none of you enforce the rules in it. |
