*Shrugs* Hey, if the NASA people can make a planet suitable for life, more power to em'.

However, if you think of it, humanity just likes to over-exagerate things a little. Like for instance, people believed that the newer stealth planes we have now were UFOs that were called, "The Phenix Lights". So, I think that if you believe there's something out there, there might just be...but I doubt that the Bible has any stated proof about it. Why? Well, if we're the "chosen race" why the hell would he make one that is supposed to be damned or something?? (someone else stated this)

I do agree that the universe just seems WAY to big for us to be alone. Why would a creator of the universe create a universe...and then leave us here by ourselves?? That doesn't make much sense to me.

However, there is one thing I'd like to state that my grandmother told me when I was younger that the word "alien" came from people that came from other countries. It never originally meant "off of this world" we turned it into that meaning. So yeah, just things to think about (if that makes any sense to anyone else).

This has got to be one of the most interesting threads I've seen, and I've seen some pretty damn interesting shit here...then again this kinda subject holds most of my interest anyways

Anywho...to be honest, I like Elara's theory. I look everything this way though....the universe is too damn big for us to be alone. That statement in itself is just a theory though. Just happens to be one that I hang on to. Other than that, everything said here is quite possible. Everything is only theory and there is no proof really. So just as long as you have an opinion that makes sense, can be supported, and doesn't bash what others think, then it's more than worth listening to.

we wouldn't be able to survive on Mars... it's not large enough to hold an atmosphere...

Yes, this is true... but I don't really consider Mars suitable... it has oxygen and an ice cap and that is about it. Not quite sure how we'd survive there yet.

Well, I look at it this way. The Bible is written by humans. Perhaps the aliens have their own Bible in which they are the chosen ones... who knows.

I'm a Christian, I know the many Bible stories well but I dont think that these specific examples are hinting that they were UFOs/Aliens. While God did have people write using parables and such...I dont think that the "Chariot of Fire" was an alien. I believe that there are aliens (dont ask me why God would make one race to be saved and another ((aliens)) to not be saved...or maybe "perfect" like adam and eve were in the begining) ....just not mentioned in the Bible.

I actually have a simular idea that I entertain. I say that humanity came from Venus, and that they destroyed the planet and themselves, so their only choice was to flee. They transported themselves to Earth and destroyed what brought them there (or if they used a transporter they had nothing) and through generations forgot all their history. This proved to be a bad thing because now it is repeating itself. Venus is a planet with acid rain and incapable of supporting humans because of it's hostile acidic environment... which destroyed all traces of their civilization. Now we worry about acid rain here, and if not stopped it will be a repeat of before... only this time there is no other suitable planet to run to.

But anyways, to the topic at large. I think it is entirely plausible that UFOs could have been responsible for all those things. Notice the program did not say that aliens created everything, but that their crafts were seen as these miracles. I believe in aliens and UFOs, so I don't see how it could be impossible.

Also, we do not know what the Creator (instead of saying "God", "Gods", or "Goddesses") did anywhere else but here, so we cannot say that this was the only inhabited world.

The King James Version. Do some research. Anyway, Jobes is right...this is not a debate about the Bible...if you have a problem geeogree, then PM me. The debate about the Bible being written by a Pagan stops here.

And you are welcome Jobes, it just goes to show that when you know what you're talking about...it helps. I don't neccissarily agree with your theory though, I still believe that the Gods and Goddesses created the beings and the Earth and the universe...but I'm never sure if they created anyone else in the universe.

I'm sure with time it will be revealed to all of us. XD It is one of those mysteries.

Okay...yes he created the Universe, but the Bible only states that he FIXED the Earth for actual LIFE to be on. Better? Not to mention, the Bible was written by a Pagan man...so I think Jobes's theory has more credibility.

THe bible has very little to no actuall evidence to back it up Gee so why is the UFO idea any less credible?

I mean isn't that the defenition of a religion really? There is no real PROOF it's a matter of faith and belief right?

It is a theory not fact or law

do you have -any- proof for that theory?

cause I hate to say it... but the Bible has more credibility than your theory does

XD Yes...the Gods can do all sorts of miracles. I dunno about the whole, "UFOs in Biblical text" thing though. Doesn't it also mention that the Earth is the only thing God made? I'm not extremely caught up on this (mainly becuase I'm not Christian) but, I believe that the Christian God only made humanity and the Earth and that's all.

I saw bits of it one time.... not recently if it's the same program... but it is familiar...

and just to say it again.... it sounds like a whole lot of speculation with next to no evidence...
