I thought we got training too, That's the only reason I even considered working there. 
I wouldn't say it's gotten "better".. So much as less confusing. 
I'm trying to work at QuikTrip as a clerk. (they make 8:52 starting out).. |

Has it gotten any better yet Jin? I mean it sounds horrid... I thought that they are supposed to train you on how to do that stuff. Assholes.
I guess that the best I can say is stick with it for now and look for a better job on the side, one that hopefully does not have to consist of food handling. |

Try and find a job at Starbucks. I start there on Thursday, and let me tell you, they are the most kind employees I've ever met. ^-^ During training, a manager trains you. You get paid $7.25 to start with (at least here in Cali), and the people are just awesome.
And this is coming from a person who hates most people.  |

See, this is a PERFECT example of why i'm not getting a job at subway or MacDolands where I know nothing of what to do.....I suggest looking for a job while you're working there. and whatever you do, don't quit. Get fired...they give you severence pay that way lol |

Well, if you're asking and they aren't helping, get a new job. Just hold on to this one until you know you have one. A shitty job is, generally speaking, better than no job. Unless, that is, you keep hurting yourself. |

I ask for help all the damn time. Especially on the cash register.. I think I've finally got MOST of that hammered out.

Keep working there, pretend it doesn't bother you. And keep looking for another job. If they're not willing to train you, they obviously don't care much about the employees. But, have you asked for help? Perhaps they expect you to come forward if you need help. |

Thanks dear. I remembered your words every time I messed up and forgot where everything is.
I even cut and burned my finger, And I consider tonight much better. I'm off tomorrow and thursday. I work friday and they want me to work on Sunday from 9am to 4pm. (my current hours are 4pm to 11pm). I will say this. My back is fucking killing me. |

Ugh.. working at Subway is very shitty so far..
I got NO training and they just shoved me up front.. I fucked up so many orders it was insane. I screwed up using the cash registers more than I can remember. I'm STILL not sure what goes on half the deals. I just fucked up very badly.. and they expect me to do much better today... It's just such a shit job.. I'm still confused about which sauce goes where. Where what meats are kept. What breads are which (wheat and white are the two easy ones though). If they had some kind of employee guide for us to take home and learn that'd be great. I'm already looking for another freaking job.. |
