I never study, not even for final exams. In Biology, I never did my homework. Due to tests, I passed that class with a low B or a high C, including getting a perfect score on the exam.
So yeah, I'm good at tests. |

Originally posted by Spyware Exactly. I personally think that studying does more harm than good. For some people at least. When people "study", they usually have a ton of work in front of them, they're freaking out over a test that's in a few days and all that extra pressure. Take 15 minutes like 3 times a week, or every night if you have to or something (like me, I can't retain a lot of information too well, so I review every night.) and just go over the stuff. Pay attention in class, and just review. Odds are, the review will only be something to jog your memory anyway. Also, if you do that ahead of time, you'll be able to come up with little tricks to help you remember certain things and all that stuff. I guess all that's easier said then done though. |

I think its fine, i never had a problem witht them.
I rarely study for a regular test, i only study for finals, but if you stay awake during class and do good on the homework why study . Vote= good |

When it comes to grades I do pretty well, getting the A's B's and C's, but I'm only average with tests. I think the way they test school kids is wrong in a way. I mean I know from year's/grade's 1 to 10 we are crammed with all the basic's of a wide range of subjects, but I think it's a bit much for us to remember everything without even having our books their to help us or to look up information. No one can expect you to know and remember everything, it is really impossible
I study and everything but when it comes to the day of the test, I usually freak out or something and forget somethings |

I always do well on those.
Only chance I ever got to score something good (since I was little, it always been like that). |

Sometimes for me, it all depends on the subject. However, wether I do good or bad, it's always the same for me in what I remember about the test. I remember going in, sitting down, having the test set infront of me...and walking out of the class after apperently finishing. |

Well, I vary... sometimes I get the material so well that I don't even need to study and I get a perfect score on the test, other times I study my ass off and still fail. Usually I do really well on tests, though this semester just sucked for me since I never studied and didn't pay enough attention in class. I'll do better next semester though, since it counts then. |

I do well with tests. I think it just may be my outlook on them though. I wake up in the morning, realize that I don't wanna go to school, and then think through the day which if my classes are going to be easy for the day. There's lunch, art, and music. Art and music isn't always easy, but they're always fun, so yeah...The rest of my classes, if I have a test, they usually take the whole period, or the class if given the entire period...so those classes go by pretty quick, thus making the day go by quicker. When I look at it that way, I automatically relax. **shrugs** Sounds kinda weird I guess...
I usually pay attention in class and all, being as I have to do exceptionally well to get grants, or I don't go to college. Period. So with that kinda pressure, I do exceptionally well in school, and tests are pretty simple. I just pay attention, a rather than study I review bit by bit every night usually, so yah...not having to study takes away from the pressure. |

When I study, I usually don't do as well when I don't. All the stuff gets jumbled and stuff, and I end up sucking. But I'd say I'm good at tests. My last Science test, for example, 24/25. Not many questions, but it was a test. Last math test, 83/83. I think that's the best test I've done percentage wise excluding the time I had 35/34.
So yeha, I'd say I do good on tests. If I study, I do a little worse than if I don't. =/ |

In general I retain information pretty well. I don't really have to study. The only subject I've ever really done poorly at, as far as tests go, is math. No matter what I just can't retain the formulas, numbers, etc. I also get really bad test anxiety when it comes to Math tests. |

Well here's the deal. I'm doing fairly well in school (as usual, usually ), and I usually attain at least a B average. (I usually have B's, and A's, and maybe 1 C for Quarter grades), so I usually do very well on things.
But tests? I just suck at them. I never study. Why? Whenever I do, I seem to do even worse. But seriously, I just find myself never really being that great of a test taker. I have an incredibly weird and good memory though, I can remember simple things from videogames and even on this board, but nothing really from school. That's it basically, I just ... forget, and don't know what to do on tests. Chemistry is a good example. I never really do good on tests, especially for the Math parts of it. ... Then again, I do space out a lot in school ... Well, what would you say you are? Good at taking tests? Or not? |
