You know, I'm not quite sure. I google'd the list and found it on multiple "goth" sites for their humor sections. All of them referenced the same source, though in checking the source I couldn't find it. Hmmm....
I wouldn't be surprised if it was made up, but then again I wouldn't be surprised if it weren't. Coming from a devout Catholic upbringing, I've seen and heard people say such things about goths and even at a very young age thought the Catholics were on something when they formed their rules to follow. Hell, according to this thread people that are "hip hopper" teenage males are goth... my mother is considered goth by this... what the fuck?!
And since the list is so long I figure that it will list what doesn't apply to me since it's shorter: - Takes drugs (caffiene excluded) - Is excessively awake during the night - Misbehaves at school (skipping class doesn't count) - Misbehaves at home (technically I don't) - Eats goth-related foods. Count Dracula cereal is an example of this (first off, it's Count Chocula idiots! I hate marshmallow cereals) - Dances to music in a provacative or sexual manner (nope, but there go those hip hoppers) - Wears pins, stickers, or anything else that contains these various phrases: "I'm so gothic, I'm dead," "woe is me," "I'm a goth" (I'm sorry, those sound stupid) - Claims to be a goth (rarely, I prefer to say I'm quasi-goth if I have to label myself as anything. |

As Pockets said, being goth really has nothing to do with being a Satan-worshipper. It's just a subculture in our society that likes to wear black, be depressed, be into all the parts of life that invoke depression (death, vampires, angst, etc) and usually partake in being as controversial as possible in doing the least amount of everything, because it's trendy to act as though life were pointless and dark and whatnot. No offense to anyone who considers themselves goths out there. Heh, I can rip on punks if you like... metalheads, maybe?
I dunno, I don't really go for the being goth, though many are cool, it's just not for me. |

At my little brother's First Communion last weekend, this guy stood up and attempted to take pictures, and when I looked back about 30 seconds later, he was gone and the people around him didn't notice.
