Hmm... I downloaded a few songs by them. I liked a couple of them, but "New Frontier" really gets on my nerves for some reason. /

Thanks.

Seems that it didn't exactly copy well on my computer (Track 1 to 4 are missing from Fear of the Dark CD on my Harddrive).

Yes, Eddy (or Edward, now you know why their latest best-of is called Edward The Great) is your little buddy on every CD cover.

And yeah, during the time Bruce was gone -> Iron Maiden = Sucks.

Brave New World is my favorite album.

And Steve Harris is god.

Edit: And can someone actually tell me on which album is "Afraid to Shoot Strangers"?

Not exactly sure ... have you googled it?

This is a pretty good Iron Maiden site from what I've seen. (Might have the answer)

Number of the beast is alright, Run to the hills is the best song on that CD it just rocks.

So far my fav song by them would be "powerslave" or "aces high"

At the metalstorm.ee site theres a big buzz around their song "Losfer word(big orra) saying its the best metal instrumental, i think not. It gets boring about halfway through, it just repeats."Call of the ktulu" by metallica kicks its ass.

*bows to the thread* Fear of the dark is an awesome song of theirs. Other wise, I agree with Pockets, number of the beast and run for the hills kick ass.

Oh my fucking god..... IRON MAIDEN.

This is a sweet band that has been around for a long time.

I'm disappointed... no one mentioned Eddie, what about poor Eddie?

"Number of the beast" is one of my favorite songs.

They're pretty good. Number of the Beast and Run to the Hills are my favorite songs by them. I haven't heard too much else of theirs honestly but I want to find it at some point.

How can we disagree xeo? , there good, but not like "metal god" good .

Powerslave is nice, but not all of it, i only like Aces high, Powerslave, thats about it.

I have checked out those d/ls you posted they kick iron maidens ass all day.

But all in all there a good band to have come Cds from, but there no metallica

>dies from the power metal comment XD. obviously UK people dont like it rough<

Finally, it seems something we can disagree with Spyware.

As I told you in my PM's, I honestly am not that big of a fan. And trust me, I have (well kind of) about all of their albums.

I only really enjoyed Powerslave, and only a few songs on that album at that.

I don't know, I just didn't care for them. They're not horrible, but I just can't say I'd ever compare them to Edguy, Gamma Ray, Rhapsody, Symphony X, Stratovarius, and some of my other favorites.

And yeah, they're not all that heavy.

I've seen some people call them "Power Metal" ... yeah right.

And don't even get me started with the albums that have Paul [something] for the vocals. My god, his voice nearly ruined those albums for me, he was absolutely horrible. Bruce Dickenson is very good though, and he's written some good songs. He also wrote for Styx, and a few other bands.

But yeah, Spy have you checked out those songs I uploaded in that new thread? You should if you haven't, to realize the greatness of Rhapsody. (They're easily next to Edguy on my list now)

Yeah, i also heard a lot of good things about "7th son of a 7th son" Another album that caught my eye was "fear of the dark" which is next on my to buy list

but when i saw at how many albums they made, i was "damn....." These guys never let up, XD.

Yeah, It's worth listening to. *has all albums on his computer, 'cept for maybe one*

Sad thing is that two of their albums suck, (Dance of Death came out two years ago, and 3 years after a great album, which is Brave New World).

Yes, the infamous UK metal band, ive gotten into them

I can see why some people would be obessed with them, but if the UK thinks this is "Heavy Metal" then there weaker then i thought . There right on the border line of General metal/Hard rock.

There good, but their no metallica, no prong, there decent.

( I bought the "powerslave album, and the number of the beast")
