I don't really like Star Wars but after ive seen the new movie Revenge of The Sith I think i might go out and rent the 1st and 2nd episodes and then go out to the movies and watch the new one. |

the funny thing is: the script SUCKS MUNKEY BUTT!!!!! i would tell you how but ...spoilers....see for yourself and enjoy the hour and a half of cgi and the 30 minutes of actual content.... or play knights of the old republic 2 instead...it is much much much better (star wars is still awesome) |

Yes I do consider myself to be a HUGE fan of the entire Series, and yeah I'm looking forward to this movie maybe even more than how I was with Return of the King, but yeah ... I'm not somebody who'd "camp" outside of the theater weeks ahead of the movie, just to get good seats or something.
Heck, I might not even see this movie on opening day (tickets are sold out everywhere for the midnight showings), but that doesn't really bother me. And hey, maybe I will get bad seats here and there? But who's to say I "won't" go see it multiple times?  |

Yes, I hate the M & M's commercial. That's too much, dammit! Now the Cewbacca thing was kinda funny, but the M & Ms is dumb. I could list a couple things, but I don't feel like it. Invovling how it's supposed to be evil not including talking candy, using SW too sell things...I don't want Star Wars to turn into a Commercial whore like Shrek, now. =/ |

It's just a movie, people will be able to see it eventually, I have never ever lined up on the open day of a movie. I just wait till it quietens down and then see it. |

It's funny you should mention the M&M's. Gina who some of you know and some don't) went to Celebrations III where she took pictures of people cosplaying as the M&M's.

Yeah, that is rather stupid to line up in front of a theater that isn't playing it. I like Star Wars and all but that is a bit much. Although I eagerly anticipate the opening of the next movie.
What I find really sad though is the M&Ms thing... it's just really really sad. On the plus side, black M&Ms though. |

According to some of the fans, if they get enough people to do it, Lucas will plead with the theater to show "Revenge of the Sith" there.
It's EXTREMELY unlikely that he'll beg a theater of all things and to show such a movie... No seriously, are people (especially geeks who are supposedly above the average level of intelligence) just this moronic? |

Star Wars is okay, but these people are throwing away their lives to see the movie. And what is this buisness with staying in a line in front of the wrogn theater? What the fuck? Don't they know the longer they wait in the wrong line, the further in the back of the right line they'll be when they go to that one? |

OK, I know there are quite a few threads open on this topic, but I've decided to open one here for those that want to debate the craze or whatever.
Also inspired by the movie's debut many newsworthy events have happened that are definitely related. A THOUSAND Star Wars fans will watch all six films back-to-back — ending with the premiere of new episode Revenge Of The Sith. The £50 “Galactic Tickets” for the event are expected to sell out within minutes of their release on Monday. The marathon will start at 7am on May 16 and end at midnight with the fans’ premiere at the UCI Empire in London’s Leicester Square. Meanwhile, stars will gather next door for the film’s red carpet premiere at the Odeon. Director George Lucas will be at the celebs’ bash. Also in recent weeks, fans have started lining up in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, but the movie won't be playing there. People actually started making T-shirts reading, "I lined up in front of the wrong theater for Star Wars Episode III and all I got was this lousy T-shirt." People even started calling the payphone they were sitting by just to call them idiots... and yet, they're still standing outside of this theater. Any thoughts? |
