And that pwns out Tamaris's comment about 6-7 posts up. He said his xbox and ps2 cost less, and his gamecube cost WAY less... bear in mind these are three-four year old consoles, and the psp isnt much of a bargan either... nearly twice as much as the DS when it gets to UK... probably about 4 months after you get it |

I don't care what the PSP comes with; I ain't spending 250 dollars on a defective handheld. DS owns my soul for two reasons currently (soon, 3): Super Mario 64 DS, Mario Kart DS, and Dynasty Warriors DS. Killing Chinamen with a stylus? That's hot. |

The PSP does come with either a 512mb or 1gig memory stick, headphones, spiderman 2 chip to put on the psp, and I think thats it but I might be missing something. |

i just now am finding out about the nation wide wi-fi play, and was wondering if anyone had more details. for instance, is there any subsription fee or of the like??
p.s. PSP seems cool, but im not gonna have 400 bucks in a long time, i think im just gonna wait a year to get that, my DS is fine for now |

Well for some games, you don't really have to use the Touch Screen, you can just change the controls around, which is good ... controlling 3D characters with a touch screen = No.
But as I've already said myself, I think the DS is fine. As TheDaftPunk said though, there really isn't any good games out there, but there's going to be a few good ones here soon. Honestly though, look at my situation. The only GB I own is a GB Pocket, no GBA, no SP, or whatever. So, wouldn't you say it would just be a better deal to pay an extra 50 for a new system? Meh. I did get it for Christmas, so oh well. |

Well, I stated my issues with the DS before, but in recap...
1. Too damn expensive. My Xbox cost less. My PS2 cost less. My Gamecube cost a LOT less. And the DS is a handheld. Somethin' don't add up. 2. Touch screen seems pointless, and in many games will probably wind up being a problem - it's a new idea, and the developers might not know how to effectively use it. 3. While I didn't say this before, it has a very limited library of games currently. For me, this isn't an issue; I usually don't buy systems until a while after their release, but it's still a problem for the DS. I know I already said that, but I figured it'd look better to have someone who dislikes the DS and clearly explains his reasons why. That, and it makes the thread more interesting than having everyone agreeing. |

Originally posted by The_Forgotten I didnt catch much of that...but If your talking aboutr kiddy games....ummm yes some are dissapointments, but like I said in my first post, the DS just doesnt have good games RIGHT NOW. Im obviously going to keep mine, Im waiting for CV: DS and Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt and I doubt those will have "kiddy" storylines. |

Actually, Wario Ware: Touched is pretty good when you played it (I gotta know, I thought it was lame until I played). Also, keep in mind that everyone has their opinion, and I always respect these, unless that person hasn't made a good point.
Next time, state why you think something is stupid. Take that as a warning, The_Forgotten. |

bhaa....right now DS has stupid games out Like Wario ware touched and Feal the Magic...come Æ’ucking on...its pathitic....but i heard good games are on the way for it. |

Seeing how much fun I'm currently having with CV: Aria of Sorrow, I'd say it's worth keeping for CV: DS |

I'm not going to buy this so called DS. And I may never even play it, either. I'm just not interested in it. Handheld gamers at my school were totally getting hyped up over the DS, but I couldn't join their DS dance.
Oh well. Jsst another system I missed out on. ...along with the Dreamcast. |

Well it plays the GBA games very nicely ... and has slightly better lighting than the SP.
The only bad thing I see is that there's hardly any games out there really worth buying for the actual system now, and honestly the PSP just looks superior. But then there's the other thing: Nintendo stating clearly that the DS is a "Project" and not the true successor to the Gameboy. Honestly, I think that's kind of dumb. That's almost pulling a Sega there, putting too many systems out too fast and quickly. Even though the DS is selling quite well in Japan, honestly if they think they can keep selling it when they release the next Gameboy or something together, for the general mass of gamers ... wow. |

Honestly, I have absolutely no interest in this thing. How practical is it to use the touch screen, the dpad, and the other buttons? That, and it's the same price as a console, at least here. That's a bit much for a handheld. =/ |

All Nintendo Handheld add-ons/games etc. are all cross-continental (I think that's the word... ) |
