Definately and if we have any questions or such it'll just be like a regular sim-battle and some of the staff could help

If you want, I could train you. I don't have much experience, myself, but I'm up for it if you want.

I want to do another SBC, the Simbattle Board died before I got anywhere with mine<< I also agree with Elara about them being awesome and what not

The thing about that is I was considering taking that challenge and making it a thing to use to train/help anyone for sim battle forums. Something like a sticky thread.

I think that it is best to just vaguely guide the newbie by instruction instead of leading them. For example, what Cyro was doing in the Sim Battle Challenges was really good. Get them to show you the skill they already have, and then just give pointers to tighten it up, that way they really don't have a change to mimic you.

No.... again.... *yawns* Training ness ness doesn't have to do with your skill with a blade... it has to do with your ability to pass on what you know...

You pick a certain character and pull of a certain move which seems to be very effective at the time and a newbie will always follow your footsteps, picking the same character and using the same move over and over again without fully understanding why he did it in the first place. I know this first hand when I played against my friend in DOA3.
I chose Jann Lee and I whooped his ass using just two moves. In the next round, he chose Jann Lee as his character and just to make it fun, I chose Hitomi. He copied my moves exactly but still got his ass whooped because he had no idea why I used the Lee moves the way I did.

A new simbattler should rely on himself to gain his own unique style but maybe have a trainer help to further develop his technique.

That's why.

Bah, I know what DOA is, I was just wondering how you guys see it and simbattling as similar.

Shaddow, what else can I compare it to? DOA and simbattling have the most similarities than any other online game.

*Nods*

Well DoA does lack special powers......and simbattling is full of it. But melee wise, DoA is the way to go.

Banana.

Ok. Nevermind. =P Guess I haven't been paying much attention to the updated lists. >__< Well, it's not like it's bad to have Leon and Levi on board.

That rule was thrown out when Leon joined.

I guess we should just throw the whole "trainers must only be staff" rule out the window now that Levi's a judge. Granted, I believe he's got the skills...but now, it completely makes that rule worthless. :\
