I honestly have never heard of it. Hmmm..I'll have to check it out sometime. It sounds rather interesting. If I go somewhere where I can rent it I'll do so, but I'm not going to buy it... |

I've seen three or four of the manga. Pretty cool and as you said very well drawn. In the series itself I gota say that Guts is probably my favorite character. Grfith is just an annoying bastard though through most of it I thought. |

I'm reading the first part of the manga, it's very intense and graphic, but still cleanly drawn. I like the combat, I'll probably base the action scenes I draw off that style, since there will be lots of halfing people and large weapons. The world portrayed in Berserk is amazing, really really dark and almost no hope for anything. The anime I haven't seen yet, but I'm assuming the manga is better (it usually is). |

for most of the series he's not blind in one eye. That doesn't happen till the last episode not giving any spoilers. It shows him in teh first episode with his right eye constantly closed because it was destroyed so he can only see from his left, then the rest of the entire series is one flashback after another moving forwards to the point of the first episode. |

All I know is that the manga is horribly violent, both gruesome and sexually.
For that, it's more at the bottom of my list for animes / manga's I'm currently wanting to check out. But yeah, I've heard it's pretty good. |

Well i like anime with just hack em-up action they are kool. Also Im pretty sure i've seen worse animes then Berserk. |

Berserk seems to be quite a well known anime as well as manga. It's pretty old now...but it should be available in most stores that sell anime. But yeah, rent may be a better idea than buying. Like I said, this anime is only average. |

Yeah, I've been watching the anime known as Berserk in my school's anime club for a while now. I found it so interesting that the main character, Guts, is so remarkably like Sparda in the way that he uses a massive sword and wears a dark cloak. I also heard that he was blind in one eye and I was like: WTF?! BUt Sparda's blind in one eye too!!!!
Keep in mind I never saw Berserk until like two weeks ago. But pushing that aside, Berserk is your average medieval hack and slash anime. It's really just average, doesn't exactly do anything spectacular. I mean, the fights are pretty cool, but other than that, everything seems a bit awkward. You're comments on the anime? |
