Saw the previews recently and I approve, looks pretty fun.
I'm desperately hoping this one hits the drive-in movie theaters. I've been waiting for a cheesefest I can just sit back and laugh at obnoxiously and comment over to friends for a long time.
Saw the trailer today... I admit that I want to see it just for the cast alone.
|The whole vagina bit was just...
And of course there's going to be a musical number.

Agreed. There's loads of anachronisms, most especially in their language, which was to be expected with this.
I mean, the trailer starts out saying, "The American West is a terrible place in time," which is a bit too self-aware.
Then there's all the fucks and holy shits (granted "fuck" is said A LOT on "Deadwood," but people still question if it was used in the same context and to the same degree we do in modern times). But he says "someone's gonna be get fucked up," and yeah, that's definitely modern.
It feels very Kung Fu Hustle to me, like I'd said, but people aren't afraid to break with the Blazing Saddles comparison.
I'm interested, although it feels more like a wild west LARP than something actually set in the time period.
I'm a pretty big fan of westerns and was intrigued to hear Seth MacFarlane was making one. It's more action comedy (was anyone actually expecting something serious out of him?).
They released the first red band trailer today, which can be see below.
And if you hadn't taken "red band" as enough of a warning the video is NSFW :
Feels a little Kung Fu Hustle for me, and seeing as that's one of my favorite movies, I'm actually eager to see this thing. Bomb or not.
