As for Brave, I've already been reading backlash from women who are already sure they're going to hate Merida as an official Disney princess because she's so different from the others and it doesn't look like she's going to have a love interest. 
Also, I just did the unthinkable and read the plot. My head kind of exploded a little. |

The first trailer for Brave has finally been posted, showing us Pixar's first princess: Merida (voiced by Boardwalk Empire's Kelly MacDonald).
Anyone else getting a bit of How to Train Your Dragon vibe? Anyway, I'm eager to see it. A princess more interested in hunting bears than finding a husband? Score. Thankfully the last two Disney princesses have been pretty damn good (though not near as popular with the little girls as Cinderella and Snow White ).
