Well, it's quite obviously an hommage to Dr. Phil and how I like darkness.
Nothing about my real name, nope =P |

I'd like to meet this 107-year-old lady who calls herself Dark Phil. |

My theory is that they know that mail sometimes comes to my house for "Charles Amarantus," who is my grandfather (who owns our house, and to whom my dad makes house payments to). They probably assume he's a son or something? |

I am still laughing at the brother thing... where the hell did they get that from? |

I'd heard about this on the news a year ago. If you ever Google yourself, you'll see it's not the only one that does this.
I figure, so long as I don't post anything stupid online I should be safe. Still, like I said on Facebook, I'm amused by all the inaccuracies -- it says I'm married, that I have a brother named Charles in his mid-20s, and it has a picture of my neighbor's house and lists my phone number as one that only really gets used for the fax machine if it gets used at all. |

See, that is where you are wrong Alexandor... my facebook page has been set to friend's only and my info was up there. Also, there are people on there that have never had a facebook page, so how did they get their info?
As far as I know it is US only, but never hurts to check. |

I checked myself - I'm there 2 times. All of my info is super old. I think they grabbed all the info from the facebook leak and have a system to crawl facebook for public info. If you have your stuff set to public on facebook, its no different. Set everything to friends of friends at the most and you'll be all set.
I sent an email to them, asking where and how they got their info (its a violation of the privacy policy, since my FB profile has been set to friends/friends of friends since I joined and they had some of my info) but they haven't responded... |

They didn't have my name... but I checked my email address and all my info came up... FYI |

Hah.
Doesn't have me. Has some other guy with the same first and last name, though. Lives in Florida apparently. Go figure. Thanks for the heads-up though. |

There's a site called spokeo.com that's a new online USA phone book w/personal information: everything from pics you've posted on FB or web, your approx credit score, home value, income, age. Remove yourself by searching your name, find the URL of your page, then go to the bottom right corner of the page and click on the Privacy button to remove yourself.
Granted, not all the info may be current... or even correct (says that WhiteRose is married when she isn't), but honestly this just screams "steal my identity for only $3/month!" |
