So, I got the DLC epilogue when it came out and replayed the ending... I am much happier now. Honestly, it didn't take much to give some closure and tell me what the fuck happened, so now I am happy.
Spoiler: Still dead, but happy |

I found the multiplayer rather repetitive to be honest. I got really good at sniping Banshees though.
I watched all the "perfect" endings and yeah, it's not much different from what I got. Spoiler:
I just didn't want my team and Anderson to die at the end. I have a feeling that it is going to bite me in the ass when the DLC comes out. It was Liara and Tali, dammit! What I ended up doing to cope with the crappy ending is to make up my own in my head, and it pleases me. Spoiler:
Shepard survives, gets promoted to Admiral, marries Kaidan, and they have a daughter named Ashley. Anderson is made the new Human Councilor and works with the stranded other races to develop alternate FTL drives, but they leave the Citadel where it is because moving it is a pain in the ass. Everyone is happy, and I find a way to make the whole relationship plot fucking worth it! Seriously though, even with the sub-par ending, I still cried. Like, full on grieving sobs at one point just for the entire story's end. I think the music got to me. |

Don't worry, even with more EMS the ending doesn't really drastically change... definitely kind of bullshitty. lol, oh well. The ending is poor in my book, but the "journey" through the whole trilogy was a great ride, so I won't let the ending ruin that for me.
Multiplayer was a blast though, actually. But yeah I also didn't start playing until after I beat the campaign, so I only had my EMS up to 4,000 or something. |

*Bump*
So... finally got time to play and beat the game. I can understand a lot of the anger at the ending(s)... but I will admit that it still made me cry. A lot. The basic info... went Paragon, stayed with Kaidan (I actually ended up staying loyal in ME2 just for the bonus, and it did improve the dialogue a LOT)... still tempted to go do it again and choose Garrus though. The ending... I went with the Paragon one (control... which I still find fucking weird). I don't have Xbox Gold, so I didn't do multiplayer, and I couldn't get EMS to 10000, so therefore I didn't get it to 5000, which means some people died... still not sure on how many. And I am annoyed about that, but until the DLC epilogue comes out I am not dealing with it. I saved Earth, go me. Oh, and best line in the game: "Emergency induction port" |

Yeah I heard you could get it on with an alien in this game |

I'm just stoked that the PS3 folks will be able to get their hands on the game. Mass Effect 2 will be coming to PS3 this January and will not only hold all of the previous DLC, have a "Comic choose your own adventure-type" minigame at the beginning, but it's also Looks better on the PS3 by using the same graphics render on the future ME3 game
So yeah, I never played the first game(err- beat it). But I'll be definitely picking up Mass Effect 2 / 3 when it becomes available. |

Just as the 2nd one before it, I look forward to the derp it will inevitably have. No game, no matter how high budget, can escape it! Bueno Shepard creepily leaning against a rail with his elbow kind of floating off to the side, his ridiculously weird smile and laugh, his toolish dancing...good times.
Oh and of course space and shooting and stuff. |

Will it be the greatest game of the decade, or greatest game of all time? There are no other answers.
